Anyone got a prediction? I have no idea, all three of bev, sumich and Tudor have good things to offer the club.

What makes me laugh on here, is that we really know stuff all about most of these guys. I mean seriously how can anyone really have any idea if Luke Beverage will be a good choice....seriously.....he maybe great, I have no idea. I remember him as a player years ago but otherwise no clue. I have yet to see anyone come up with some informed opinion as to why he or any of the other untrieds would be any good. Just because they may come clubs who have won flags is not enough either.....seriously lol.

Macca was from a good program and clearly is an outstanding coach of the assistant variety, but the top job is another kettle of fish. I hope we get this one right.

I believe fronkalicious is now officially a news breaker
Someone give him a badge

So sounds like there's a fair bit to play out. Really hope sumich interviews well.

he meant bangs

like the hair style ;)
guess you didn't like my option of hugging it out :straining:

Not sure bangs will work for me but I'm happy to give them a crack, it's only hair

If Yebiga takes his meds I'm happy to hug it out :)

Haha I must be the only one that find's yebiga's posts hilarious.

If you can't tell it's half piss take then there's something wrong! Sometimes things are too serious on here.

Besides that, most of everything he's said has been true.

Nothing like MD, as if you look past the posting style there's actually coherent thought/reasoning not just "FACTS" and WOW's and other mindless drivel

Yeah...I'm going with parody.

THE Western Bulldogs have finalised a coach shortlist but will not start formal interviews until next week.

The Dogs plan to unveil Brendan McCartney’s successor by November 17 — when the club’s senior players start pre-season — but are not working to a concrete deadline.

The Herald Sun believes North Melbourne assistant Leigh Tudor and Ross Lyon’s right-hand man Peter Sumich (Fremantle) will be sounded out, along with Brett Montgomery.

Luke Beveridge, set to start as St Kilda’s director of coaching when he returns from overseas, is also expected to be interviewed, while Andy Lovell (Suns) could be considered.

But the Bulldogs have not contacted dual premiership Hawthorn assistant coach Brett Ratten or VFL coach Gary Ayres and have told club legend Scott West he does not have the experience to be considered.

“While we will take the appropriate time required for such a critical decision, the process is well underway,” Garlick said.

The club’s first to fourth-year players — including marquee recruit Tom Boyd — are due back on Wednesday and their programs will be coordinated by Lowe and high-performance guru Justin Cordy.

Since the season finished the Dogs have parted with assistant coach Shannon Grant and part-time specialist coaches Matthew Scarlett and Cameron Mooney.

They've had preliminary interviews with most of the guys mentioned in that article already. I know the panel already has their favourites, as I've mentioned before. They're all different at the moment though.

Obviously the top priority is to appoint a coach with the right CV
Who is no danger of offending anyone
I expect talk of embracing the grind to be replaced with the joy of passing time.

the marketing manager will be over the moon
The sponsors will be queuing on the phone
The membership hotline will burn. I have no doubt we will be targeting 45,000 by June 2015

Yes I can see the entire supporter base jumping out of their skin for Tudor and intoxicated beyond reason with Beveridge. It will be a summer of great expectations. All the circumstances leading to the loss of a captain and coach can be buried and forgotten.

Why its close to bliss to have such a wonderful excellent CV leading our club.

Its serenity - I can hear the crickets - can't you?

Based on what you've said, monty seems to have drifted out of the race? Or was it just that they didn't need to sound him out?

I personally dontbwant Montgomery to be head coach, i dont mind him as an assistant but i just think he was part of the mess that happend between mcartney, griff and the club.
I for one as a supporter of this club would feel more refreshed with a new coach in Tudor or Beveridge preferably Just to breathe some new fresh air and ideas into the club.
Im not knocking Montgomery who will possibly be a great coach in the future but at the moment i wouldnt mind a fresh face and a new direction for players, supporters and the club.

For me atm out of the final 5 that the club has come out and shortlisted its =

1.Beveridge
2. Tudor
3. Montgomery
4. Sumich
5. Lovell
