dimma confused him when he switched him to defenceCan somebody answer this with facts and not guesswork.
Is he still working to attain AFL level fitness after his glandular fever?
Is the club looking after Ben's long term future by easing him back?
We worked hard to re-sign this bloke for a reason.

As a back pocket, one of the worst!dud delist

if you watched his junior highlights , he should be producing what Jake stringer does, similar profile and traits,,,the Q is why isn't he , Id like to know the answer to this ,,,I bet if he was traded he would do what Justin Murphy did, play 200 games and star in a GF elsewhere
Stringer didnt do a knee.Completely different traits, Stringer was an elite athlete who was considered in the top two before he did a knee. He absolutely dominated with raw aggression and explosiveness through both the midfield and as a key forward. Lennon on the other hand was a classy half forward who relied more on skill and nous than athletic attributes.
Lennon is a good player. Just needs to be played forward pocket/half forward. Just will bob up in the right places for goals or goal assists. That's where he won AA in his TAC cup year and where he won his rising star nomination. Very strong overhead for his size too.
He needs to be played in the seniors in his correct spot.
Bloody hell, why can't anyone see that at the club? Why are they trying to make him something that he isn't?

The point is it is not his best position, as has been shown over a long period. Can you remember his first kick in AFL? Can you remember his rising star nomination game last year against the saints?Hardly the first clever HF to go to HB. His kicking is an absolute weapon and his footy brain helps him intercept mark. Lacks the accountability right now.
I reckon the crows game across HB was his best game for the club, went back with the flight and the only player who could hit a target coming off HB and not just hit a target but open the game up.

How many half back flankers does a team need?
That is the problem with Dimma, the answer is always send him to half back to serve his apprenticeship. And then we end up with the stupid situation of Vlaustin who was a natural midfielder, now according to Dimma needing to be retrained in how to play in the middle. Well hey, if he served his apprenticeship in the middle he wouldn't need to be retrained.
Or if we are really obsessed with HBF's how about we actually draft one, rather than drafting forwards and mid fielders and trying to turn them into HBF's

They also have great tanks as a rule to give run off the backline. That is something Lennon never had although he's working on it.Well we need at least 2 and the better teams have 3 or 4, currently we have half of one in Houli.
Vlastuin played all his final year in TAC across HBF and captained Metro from the HBF.
The fact that Hardwick and his coaching staff are idiots and can't develop talent does not mean Lennon shouldn't be put on the HBF. Plenty of the best HBF are drafted as mids and half forwards as they have great football instincts and great kicking skills.
