Autopsy Positives and Negatives vs GC

Negative: Sick of Simmo being all nice and calm, looks as if he has no fire in the belly.

Leon Cameron absolutely baked the giants during the Essendon game and they responded. When was the last time we had a coach who did this? Woosha was the same.

You can't been seen to have any passion as the grandmas and facebook clowns might need to retreat to their safe space. No mongrel at this club, haven't had it since Beau retired.

Did anyone else think the umpiring was extremely costly against us? Some baffling decisions that cost us goals and then some big decisions not paid. Hard to swallow those.

Surprised some people didn't rate Shuey's game. I had lowered my expectations for him and Lecras given the injuries, but he came out and sort of exceeded my lowred expectations, he used it so much better than anyone bar Mitchell and was one of our only guys to attempt to tackle.

Lecras didn't even meet my lowered expectations. That whole forward setup was a joke.

Living in Sydney if I was in Perth I would campaign fans to boycott next game at Domain lets face it send a strong message to these dickheads that they are on the nose including nice man Simmo who keeps saying "We've learn't" after each loss!!

Guaranteed not to get pissed off by footy next weekend.
Fargo, Better Call Saul and House of Cards in full flight.

Absolutely filthy at the club right now. Will need the bye to try and get over it.

I don't think so. Taking a black box approach the entire club was awful. Out coached, out played which is disgusting when you figure it was GC.

To put it another way. Shep had no prior, that was a direct goal. Mackenzie got pushed in the back with his deliberate call, cost a goal. Shuey was tackled with no prior, both players fell on his back, got done holding the ball that cost a goal.

We also had a tackle late in the game on the 50m arc (possibly Jetta?) that went unrewarded.
I thought it was pretty bad really, but in saying that everyone I was watching the game with knew we'd lose even with 3 mins to go when we were up by a few points, the weakness of the club is predictable and I knew nothing would change in that piss weak zone defence, they still found Wright with ease.

Yeah there were some shit calls but you can't place the clubs woes on the umps. They will always be garbage.

Questions:
Why is our kick in plan A- kick sideways 15m to pocket then bomb down the line to a pack? Most other teams, that is last resort and usually run it and get to the wing with set plays. Maybe once a qtr Hurn goes 70m down the middle? Something!!
Why do we often have 3 guys guard space 40m from opo kicker and he chips it 25m to a free player right in front of them?
Why, after preseason and half a year playing w no nic nat and having a small army of coaches can we not get close to being even at clearances??
So many more questions...

Is anyone eles sick of hearing Simpson saying we have work to do ? Are Durr We loose the same way on the road every time. Not looking for his head but same talk same results just gets frustrating.

Id really be interested in what the comments would be if we'd kicked one extra goal in each of the last two games.

We still would have lost the last game last week, and even a win today does not address the larger problems the team has. I admire your optimism, need that balance, but the teams problem run deeper than beating a shit team like GC by 3 points.

Would almost be the same today, except for saying how lucky we would have been. GWS loss wasn't all bad, it was nice to see some points of difference (Jetta, Karpany, Nelson, even Petrie) in our side, and lets face it, GWS with injuries are still elite.

Similar I reckon.

Too many deficiencies in the team to ignore.

Jack darling played one of the worst games I've seen an eagle play in a long time. At the ground you could see his total lack of effort to do anything resembling moving to provide an option or pressure..
aside from his first year when was the last time he played 4 quarters of good footy ?? He gets his goals in bursts then disappears and this year even his goal kicking has gone to hell..

When Lycetts fit he should be out 100% if not before..
As for Lecras if he doesn't want to play at East Perth tell him to retire. Karpany wouldn't have gone any worse than him today

No I don't think the umpiring had any influence on the game.
Sure a few mistake both ways thats the nature of the jig.

What was extremely costly was shit decision making on our part.
I will give you three examples :

1. The start of the third quarter GC kicked the first two goals, both on the back of two cute hand passes from a player to another player who was in a worse position to clear the ball out of defence , both resulted in turnovers ...that cost us 12 points we lost by 3. ouch

2. Our captain with less than a minute and a bit to go .... ( that would be the same guy that can roost the ball 65 meters ).... kick a little chip kick into the back pocket. FFS. Missed opportunity to score.

3. Lack of playing the ball a) Jetta on the run decided to concentrate tugging at the opponents jumper rather than attacking the ball..... free kick turn over.
b ) Cripps deciding that the ball was about to go over the line in the forward pocket so giving up the chase.... Meanwhile Harbrough plays through the whistle and ... low and behold the ball doesn't go over the line and he retrieves it and counter attacks the ball out of his defensive area. Cripps looks like a soft **** for giving up...... cost us a scoring opportunity.

So we lost by three points and we had so many opportunities to ice the game yet we failed to do so..... why..... on all occasions poor decision making.

We blew it ...the umps were OK today.

It's incredibly easy and one out of every 10 teams across world sports that tries to bottom out comes back with roaring success. Don't worry about the other 9 that cripple themselves for years, that's not important right now.

Just look at the 76ers. They blew it all up, traded assets, languished at the bottom for years and now have nearly an entire team of top 3 picks. It worked in that example, so it will definitely work for us. Definitely.
76ers are a bad example. Embiid is completely injury riddled, Simmons missed his first while season and okafor has stagnated.

Ok well seeing as that was my example of tank done right, that makes my point even better. If they click and make the ECF next season, will it have been worth all the years of absolute ineptitude? Possibly, maybe not.

But that's an example of a GOOD rebuild. Teams that sell off all their assets and bottom out don't rebuild that quickly in world sports.

Anyone flaming Darling is just a peanut.

Every game this season has seen the midfield comprehensively beaten. Even in the wins, the defence has been dominating and providing rebound. Thid midfield is the worst in the competition.

Priddis is cooked. Masten is cooked. Jetta is cooked.

The club needs to transition these players out of the side.
Jetta played well the last 2 games?!

Fair point. You still need to draft well if you are going down that track though. And they are no chance of making the ECF next season. Would be stoked to make the playoffs.
