The Swans last three wins at the MCG against the Hawks in 2012, 2015 and 2016, in all three of those games, they've had a six goal unanswered burst.

If the Swans are leading at quarter time, they'll win. I can't see the Hawks containing the Sydney midfield which has too much firepower in there.

Hawthorn's options rotating across half backs with their skills and ball use would be of concern for Sydney.

I think this will be another close low scoring game.
Will you guys knock Jake Lloyd out in the first minutes again or no?

Agree with what you are saying. But I don't know why, I just got this hunch we are going to blow you guys away this week and make it a comfortable 6 goal win

If by abilities you mean 'being tall' then yeah.
Tall and uses it but can also play well off the ground. Can play key position forward or defender, handy on a wing, lovely contested marking, fantastic leap, nice field kicking, can pinch hit in the ruck and known to boot the odd goal. Not many of us left still underrating him but a few dinosaurs are left in the hidden valley.

If we kick at goal with better than 60% accuracy we should win. We've been generating heaps of shots through fwd pressure the last few weeks so as long as we convert we should be sweet.
I don't mind it so much if we keep the ball in our fwd 50 the whole time and score 8 or 9 points between centre bounces. At least the opposition can't score if we have the ball.

I'm going to say this is our best 22 so far this season. Hayward gives us a great mid sized option uo forward and we have great youth, talent and experience across every line.
Hayward better in a contested mark than Robinson which could i) generate more turnovers when they have it and ii) stop us from turning it over so much when we have it. Plus he's a lot more attacking so perhaps it assumes Horse is willing to drop some forward pressure for scoreboard pressure. Will be interesting. Haward's definitely playing for a spot and he'll know that.

Good change but Dawson is a bit stiff as he was better than Hayward in the reserves last week.
Just a matter of time, Dawson is a quality player, and his time will come.

Hayward was a class above in the NEAFL last outing, took plenty of marks and kicked 6.

It signals an attacking frame of mind from the coaches, which I think is exactly right against the Hawks. Go forward and kick goals against them.

Me thinks fwd pressure will be a factor. Who will go to Hodge?
I would think so too but, if so, why drop Robinson ? Hayward's more attacking and has more flair but Robinson's fast becoming a specialist defensive forward.

Haward also has an X factor.
We need an X factor against the Hawks.

F*** we need to win this.

Robinson was very average last week and surely Hayward who can actually kick well is a good thing with the ridiculous amount of behinds we kicked last week!

Watching games live, Hayward puts a ton of pressure on In the forward line.

He is not a defensive forward, but when the opposition have the ball or the ball is contested, Hayward works hard.

Agreed and he's more likely to give us something in attack. Plus we need to know now whether we can get him through big games. The safe option is Robinson but I like Horse being attacking and picking Hayward
