Good game big boy.

Tallest ever player.

Played tall today.

Big weapon is Coxy. Cox dominated their backs today. Loved it when he rammed it home and stuck the finger up.

Seedsfan ain't exactly the lone ranger around here when it comes to a lack of appreciation for big Cox though.

you forgot attitude and aggro.

knows he belongs and knows he intimidates the opposition.

No one shows more competitive spirit and clearly marks himself harder than even the bigfooty hoards.

A real will to succeed/win at all costs. Love this about the lad.

My feeling after the game today was just happy for him.

A really good game, he is freakish at ground level for someone who is seven odd feet tall and did not grow up with our oval ball.
Starting to clunk some big contested marks.

Seems a guy that is good for the club, good for his team mates to get around and is doing a very good job on the field this year.

Was due to kick a bit of a bag and so happy to see it against a top 4 side.

Can now only hope he goes on with it and becomes even more dangerous and more consistent from here, its got to be great for his confidence.

I'd rather pay Cox big bucks than Lynch or Moore. Lynch and Moore are prototype modern footballers, but Cox offers a unique physical attribute which cannot be understated. In very simple terms opposition teams can't play a standard third man up, which provides a great structural advantage, and I believe this is why every week, between all a small forwards there is always someone popping up to kick a bag of 3 or 4.

Yeah like mentioned, i was more proud then anything for him, his probably coped a lot of shyt from opposition players but after slotting his 5th from 50 and showing a bit of arrogance it was awesome to see how far his come, im not expecting those sort of performances regularly but hopefully they come more often then not

Substitute your his for he's and I agree. Cracking game from Cox.

Hmm as hyped as I am about Cox I cant say Id turn down having Lynch as our FF over him, his no doubt a unique player but his still very much a project player, Lynch with a elite midfield throwing it down his throat has min 60 goals a Season written all over it

I think this performance could have a couple of benefits. Obviously his confidence will grow which can only be a good think. Secondly defenders with become even more concerned about Cox which provides other forwards with opportunities as they concentrate more on Cox.

He did things today that reminded me of Aaron Sandilands, but a more mobile version. Just those marks where he puts his hands up and the defender can't jump high enough. Melbourne would have loved to have Lever on him today. Short backline players are stuffed vs Cox.

His first two goals were from a ground level chest mark and then from a snap shot out of a contest. He also dished off several handballs to advantage as he has been doing all season. Becoming quite multi dimensonal.

Good to see him finally get a bag of goals as he was long overdue, but hes developing into far more than a mark-kick-goal-ruck type that cant do much else and doenst even kick many goals.

And he makes Grundy a better ruckman because hes capable of spending more time in the ruck than a spare parts backup....and hence keeping Grundy fresh. Will make Richmond stop and think about their model of having a complete non ruckman as a back up ruck.
