Mick came in and decided a list that needed some polishing under Ratten needed to be blown up and rebuilt. Plenty of the players that we have the likes of David King would delight in calling list cloggers, given a good game plan and surrounded by quality players and they shine. Same would of happened if the Blues hadn’t kicked out any player over 24 who wasn’t a first round pick and replaced them with skinny kids.

In early 2012 they were one of the premiership favourites. They had a strong 2011 and started 2012 with a 5-1 started which included some massive wins (including a 10 goal win over a dominant Collingwood side). Injuries ruined them that year and by the time they played the Gold Coast they had about 11 of their best 22 out injured. That was the loss that ended their season and this was when losing to the Gold Coast was utterly humiliating.

Ratten's sacking was a massive knee jerk reaction. I hope he gets another chance.

Brayshaw was trying to guard the space, which is laudable, but he was oblivious to the fact that Dangerfield was the nominated ruckman.
He should be aware of Geelong's tactics, I gather they use Dangerfield in the ruck from time to time.
Communication is the key.
Just as the two Melbourne players spoiled each other on the final kick-in, punching the ball back into play, they should have been aware of each other and allowed one to take the mark.
It would have been all over and they would have had the final set shot at goal.

Was a great moment when all their self entitlement worked to **** then up. I was in Crown listening to all their prick supporters bragging about how they were taking Malthouse out for dinner and working to knife Ratten half way through the season. The loss to Goldcoast was just the opening they were waiting for.

I don’t think they deserve a priority pick either as they are exactly where they wanted to be. As they keep bragging they have delisted the most players in the history of forever and wonder why they are completely uncompetitive. They have shown a complete lack of respect for the competition are effectively fielding a juniors side and expecting everyone else to cover the lost gate sales and lower tv revenues.

Every opportunity they have had to acquire talent they have passed over in the chase of more kids and picks and were allowed trade their best player for more future picks. They are shit by choice.

Was driving and listening to SEN yesterday at about 12pm and they said Tigers were on 99k members.

15 minutes later the same crew were speaking to Eddie McChins, they said that Collingwood were the biggest club in the land, with West Coast the second biggest. Eddie also said that the Pies would be confident to beat Tigers next week if they didn't have injuries.
