Problem is, what if: Luko, Walsh, Smith, Rankine, Max King go first...

True that would screw us since we really don't need another key tall.

But SOS would have a pretty good idea who wants who imo.

I don't think GC will give up 2 or 3 since they want to draft a 'set' eg Luko/Rankine or King brothers.

6 is a risk because me could be left with the two Kings so unless we are happy with one of them than no.
If we had something to sweeten the deal to get Martin and 3 than absolutely do it

Imo the points system mirrors public perception in that it grossly over rates pick 1 .

It's really not far off the mark since most projections have Smith likely available at #6.

Martin is a very good player.

We will demand overs for #1 but let's not overrate it...Walsh is unproven.

How about we accept #1 for Martin & #6.
Trade #6 for Shiel...

I know not a big difference in number between #6 and Essendon's #9, but all the draft phantoms suggest the top 7 are clearly a step higher than the rest, so the difference could be bigger than we think and enough to tempt GWS.

Gives GWS access to a King twin or Smith most likely.

Or squeeze GC for #3 instead of #6 and ontrade that instead.

Ultimately #1 for Martin & Shiel would be a massive win.
