Still a better team than the Rebels tour era of the 80’s.
Probably. They were campaigners then too.

We also lost 3-0 in tests in Sri Lanka, 5-0 ODIs vs SA and 4-1 vs India just before sandpapergate.

It's how he behaves on field that will dictate what most thing about him. Hes now branded as a cheat, and his unwarranted aggression towards opponents wont be tolerated.
Further, he has shown he can be aggressive to opponents but when the shoe is on the other foot he has difficulty controlling his emotions. Going to make it difficult going forward as he has put a target on his back.

It’s interesting now the rest of the squad are church going Alta boys, we are a terrible team.

However, I will give him a chance to turn it around. People make mistakes and learn from them.
Imo warner doesn't have the mental capacity to significantly change his make up.

Also, there are mistakes & there are almighty ####ups that bring the game & country into disrepute.

Some of the things said to him about his wife were very crude and uncalled for. I think the entire sport needs a clean up.

South Africa, India, England and Australian players are all campaigners.

Australia has not been this bad for close to 35 years.
Team in the 80's was worse imo, after the retirements of DK, Chappell & Marsh, along with the rebel tour.

Our bowlers of Starc, Hazelwood, Cummins & Lyon is as good as any side.

Problem is our batting is poor without Smith & Warner. Khawaja is the only one at the moment that looks world class. Big rebuild needed.

Yes, what happened in South Africa was disgusting & their authorities should have banned them for life.

Possibly but it’s still a mistake. Cricket in Australia has been a balloon and one thing after the other has caused the balloon to get bigger and bigger. Sandpaper gate was the needle that caused it to pop.

Andrew Symonds was very unfairly treated by CA when the Indians called him a monkey and the current group have just been pushing the envelope.

I think Warner will come back and everyone will just move on.

Did the period of the mid 80s do more damage than underarm ??
Yes. No one other than New Zealanders gave a crap about the underarm incident three months after it was done.

Faf de Plassis has been guilty a number of times for ball tampering.

The South Africans attacked Warner's family and called his wife a ****.

Frankly, I think the biggest hypocrites are those who immediately attacked our team.

The season before that ordinary England side toured here.
So, a bunch of years ago?

Obviously, Steve Smith was carrying us. Now we don't have him, the team is completely irrelevant and a national embarrassment.

Was just as bad 2 years ago
Of course we weren't. What a ridiculous thing to say. We've never had our two beat batsmen - and only players of international quality - playing in the suburbs instead of for their country.

Don't be ridiculous

The underarm thing still gets a run now. Wouldn't be a single person, young or old, who isn't familiar with it

When we got bowled out for 85 vs South Africa, swept 5-0 in the one dayers, lost every test in Sri Lanka and won 1 odi out of 5 vs India we were pretty bad.

Absolutely rubbish.

The Saffers were responding to Warners consistent verbal diarrhea and went too far, albeit semi truthfully.

The guy is a flog who sledges to cover up his own inadequacies

Are you serious?

The underarm thing might be the punchline to a joke now, that'd be it. It's a complete irrelevance.

Only NZers EVER cared about it. It a complete nothing.

Absolute bullshit.

There were masks given to people at the ground to wear!

The "semi truthfully" comment you've made about his wife being called a **** is disgusting.

The hatred towards Warner mystifies me. It's a great example of how quickly Australians will jump on and attack other Australians who they think are getting ahead of themselves. It's the worst side of our national character. You'd have no idea what he would say on the ground, and yet you flippantly hate him.

If you have sex in a public bathroom it makes you a hero does it ??

You're one of those people who believes everything Aussies do is correct, well here's the thing, David Warner was one of the worlds most disliked cricketers BEFORE he cheated.

Wow.

It's actually becoming clearer how you let things like the Tippett contract, us constantly losing players, the camp etc just wash over you. And criticise others for going on about them.

Are you sure you actually care?

Literally anything could happen and you'd just carry on the same. Doesn't matter. Meaningless. No biggie.
