Ban Australia Day.*The melts on here are fantastic
He is a young man who on Australia Day went up the river for a ski like 1000s of other people who have positions that could affect their work if they got injured, yet because he is a footballer he is supposed to stay home and have a quiet day and not do anything that may risk an injury.
I bet you there are tons of other AFL footballers who do things in pre-season outside of training that could injure them.
Perhaps Ollie should play fortnite or do some underwear modelling instead of being a bloke in his early 20s who loves to ski.
They are footballers but they are entitled to live their own lives and participate in activities that they enjoy. Those same activities those that are melting are allowed to enjoy

People can try and justify this all they want, but Ollie won’t be Wake boarding this time next year.
So you were there were you! You know exactly what he was doing, and how hard he was going, do you? It’s hardly an over reaction, no AFL player should push themselves on a wakeboard on the verge of a new season, yes he’s a good wakeboarder, but this shows there is still a big risk involved.
Our #1 mid is now going in for surgery as a result of “having fun” and will miss the start of the year. That is unacceptable.
It’s about risk, and going hard on a wakeboard is an in neccissary risk.
Had he gone out and wakeboarded at say 70-80% and not gone hard this wouldn’t have happened and he’d be lining up round 1.
It’s about setting the standard for professionalism, and this is a complete lack of.
Participate in them sure but not 4 weeks before the season starts. If he wants to Ski whenever he wants he should quit professional sport. I don't entirely blame him though when the club doesn't give a shit despite Ollie being one of their highest paid. The melts on here are fantastic

100% this but it backfired.I wonder whether the club letting Wines go water skiing is part of them trying to bring the fun back into the team?
It may just be that they have decided that the risk is worth it to find better team cohesion, less burnout and more buy in.
So you were there were you! You know exactly what he was doing, and how hard he was going, do you?
Your incessant rantings, over and over again, have become more than irritating & tiresome! We have all heard your opinion on this 100 times ... Now bugger off!
Clearly he wasn’t having a brisk ski, you don’t end up with shoulder surgery if that’s all your doing.
This “over reacting” crap is nonsense. He is a professional AFL footballer am to miss 6-8 weeks of pre-season and possibly round 1 is not good enough.
If you don’t like people sharing their opinions on an open Internet forum and debating them. Stiff shit.
....
I much prefer seeing the boys have a fun afternoon on the river, than having them blow off steam in Hindley St at 2am in the morning!

Urging players to live their life outside of footy
Lucky we follow Port then which is why not both?
