From a very closely involved source, Carlisle was initially set to go to Carlton; with our bevy of draft picks and desire to rebuild around KP players it made perfect sense.

We did a medical scan and saw Carlisle’s degenerative back problem, and ran a mile away. So Essendon went back to St Kilda who didn’t do a proper scan; the bombers jumped on it.

I was told at the time he would be out of the league in 3 years; it’s actually taken a bit longer than that, but there you go.

Probably would have cost us the Curnow pick straight up, so I’m ok with how that worked out

He looked awful on Sunday at Sandringham

Yep, gambling is a terrible addiction. I witnessed it first hand and watched someone lose everything.

Might be an unpopular opinion but I put gambling in the same boat as drug addiction.
I'm no expert, but isn't it kind of already considered the same in terms of the effect it can have on the brain?

Yeah, but how did he play?

Pretty well

Na he seriously looks done, was moving horribly.

Baily Rice was in the best, but he is no good, moves like he is 40 years old.

There was actually a speedy back pocket from Werribee called Ryan Hebron who looked the most impressive for mine. Pace to burn and a long kick, a tad undersized but had AFL traits imo.

Note: I am looking forward to the year when the actual season brings more joy than the off-season.

I know it's there, I can see it*

So....BigFooty upgrade, huh?

We now have an 'angry' button!

Just going to warm that up next time I visit a GameDay or Autopsy thread....

Found it - So it's not enough just having to click one button to say 'Thank You' or 'Good Idea', we now have all sorts of silly options.

There will be no more soup for anyone from me. :)

Not super sold on the need to have a million reaction buttons.... BUT I have always thought a 'dislike' or 'disagree' button would be useful.

Useful? Useful for exactly what though, ferris?
Still feel that the worst thing to come about for BF was this 'liking'
It can change the authenticity and dynamics of a forum, unfortunately.

By the way I'm angry and dislike your post. Take that. :)

Now the like count is gone again :( now no one can see how many internet credit points I have.

(to be fair though it was handy to see if the person you talk to is a generally well respected poster or who talks a lot of ****)

All good - hovering over the name shows it in the pop up. You're still in the positive ;)
