The bye has come and gone with our trip to the Melbourne Museum today. We saw ‘Revolutions: Records and Rebels’.

Basically it was about the 60s and the counter-culture that peaked during this time. We spent 2 hours wandering about, could have doubled it and still not have taken in everything. Concentration is not a strong point!

The headphones played music from the time, which for me, is the greatest time for popular music.

Most of it I knew. Until this little ditty started playing. It’s so cheesy but the last line is a killer.

Well, that was a shemozzle of a performance!

Just embarrassing. Lack of effort, lack of skill. We are a board with a proud history, but our senior posters are letting us down and we can't be relying on rookie posters to keep us going.

Poor recruitment. Poor selection. Fish rots from the head....I blame Chief! He trots out a minor upgrade, but it just patches over the problems. I mean this site hasn't been the same since we were hit with those tech penalties for breaching the Y2K cap back in the late 90s. What is it with all those complicated reaction buttons? I think the posters are confused and we just need to strip things back a bit. Maybe teagueyubeauty can simplify the game plan for us. Caro has already called for Chief to front the media and explain the board's strategy. And if he is not good in front of the cameras, at least trot out The Old Dark Navy's. He's a smooth talker and can defuse any situation.

No A-grade posters are going to join us until we put in some more effort. I guess we will need to recruit some delisted posters or B-grade talent from other boards, and then we can chase after some big targets for 2021.

And what was with the balance? This was lost at the selection table. yet again! Too many tall (story) posters, not enough short posts. You know, the ones that are agile and just hit the target.

Anyway, onto player reviews.

Jabba73 showed amazing fitness, getting from topic to topic, but he just couldn't hit a punchline. Needs to back to the Blue Room to work on his delivery.

thylacine60! Where has that form been? He was BOG in last year's bye, but been disappointing since then. I expect more from one of our senior posters, good to see him reclaim his form for yesteryear.

Stig O'Hara He blows away threads in the first quarter (of the day) but then fades and leaves to much others to do during the middle of contests. Needs to work on his posting fitness.

ferrisb showed a lack of heart. Sure, he's got a nice right typing hand. But if he continues to avoid contact, he's got to be dropped. I knew he was too soft when I saw underage efforts on TC (cup). Maybe some boxing sessions with JustaBattler will sort him out.

At least there were some highlights, with some contributions from fan favourites Marc Shmurf 3 and barass70. B70's screamer is a candidate for POTY, but knowing us, they'll probably award it some post on the Collingwood board. A few rookie posters put in some impressive highlights, offering some green shoots. But it's going to be a few off-seasons before they can rack up 25-30 posts a week. At least we had HBF. The way he gets from contest to contest is amazing.

I swear if we keep on dishing up performances like this, I am done. I am going to put my motherboard in the microwave. Makes me no better than a bandwagon poster from those other boards. Maybe I'll start following bigcricket or something. Don't make me do it. LIFT!
