Take the ‘inside word’ with a grain of salt. Daisy is playing great footy and is easily best 22. We need his experience, toughness and passion. Of course he will get a contract and play 100 games for this great club.

When you're at the game you can feel when Sam is off the ground. It's actually scary how much he contributed to our team in his first season.

yep especIally compared to our other recent top draftees.

Dow, lob, Fisher, Sps, Charlie, McKay, cuningham etc all had minimal impact in their first years.

The only ones to have real impact were weitering and willo, but still nothing compared to Walsh.

Browny and Lyon spent around 5 minutes tonight OnThe Couch discussing Melbourne in great detail what they thought the main reasons were why they are where they are, both particularly Lyon giving them a backhander with the opinion that they are way overrated, with last year being an aberration who look like they massively overachieved.
Roos sat in silence all that time without saying or offering any comment at all...

In my opinion he needs to play seniors next year. He has a solid frame and can play...he just needs more fitness which he will get over preseason. Maybe he fills suitable vacant positions to get match fitness and experience before settling into a half back role on a permanent basis when one of simmo daisy retire. Another option is daisy moving up front.

I don't think Stocker plays major midfield minutes until Murphy moves out. Have to battle for a defensive role for a year or two.

Exactly, absolutely no rush. We have gifted plenty of games to plenty of players, played them in important roles and they haven’t really developed any quicker than they would’ve otherwise imo. Look at someone like Clark from St Kilda, he is now looking brilliant after having a more traditional introduction to the game. Also team development should come before individuals and that’s why I back what Teague is doing over what we were doing before.

Not one player has been gifted games.
There was no choice but to play them all. Thats what the word rebuild brings with it.
The list was threadbare and looking like a highschool classroom/hospital ward for two years.
It's therefore tremendous to now have a different situation where young players don't have to be thrown to the wolves.
