I rate Aliir highly. At 25 he would be an ideal replacement for Liam Jones.

Fisher was down in 2019. I was a big advocate for drafting him in 2016. After last season I thought he'd go from strength to strength. He is genuinely a fringe player next year unless he finds his best form.
Wholeheartedly agree re Fisher. Thought he would have a great 2019. SPS and a few others also. Someone mentioned Stack etc and their fast development/ immediate impact at Richmond. Strong team and culture often equals optimal development.
So regarding Fisher and co Im now banking on them coming on as the team improves rather than the team coming on as they improve.

Something like 8 + future 2nd (25) for Martin + 2020 pick 11 might work.

Values Martin around 19 and gives us our own 2020 first, 2020 pick 11 and our 3rds to work Papley.

GC will be happy to deal those freebies this year before the AFL can take them away. Sydney may prefer a 2020 pick(s) with their academy.

Hard to fit a 3rd “B-A grade mid” in without losing a wanted player. Wonder if the Swans rate Macreadie?
Ok. Where is 2020 pick 11 coming from?

Yeah, let’s trade fish who’s best mates with Crippa. Some people on here are clueless
He is worthy of staying on his ability and potential alone. Friendships aside.:thumbsu:

Fisher was also the guy who found Murphy open a few times when Murphy kicked some great goals including the winner against Freo. He has shown great Footy IQ at times.

2020 will be his fourth season and he’s now got 55 games under his belt so we can expect him to really hit his strides.

Murph going back in put Fishers midfield career on hold. High half forward or wing if not on the ball I think. Best suited spotting up a forward from outside 50 I believe.

I would’ve also expected him to be fairly good as a small forward given his size agility and ability to dodge traffic but in close.

I believe he will become a very valuable player for us in time.

We don't require a KPD via this trade period, nor we do need to trade Fisher out for one.

Jones just received a 3 year contract and along with Weitering and Marchbank, our talls are pretty set down back.
We have to get Macreadie up to speed and we'll have time to see how BSilvagni develops but last thing we need is to 'reach' for a KPD as back-up.

Fisher is an accumulator but his new position didn't allow him to accumulate.
Lots we have to do to move the pieces around to achieve the best possible set-up through this pre-season and there may be some collateral damage in doing so as not everyone will fit into the best team.

That's going to be hard to do now though, as the trade period starts next week.
Only players I can see being thrown up though are Casboult and Kennedy, but even with Kennedy, we may yet live to regret doing so.
