I suspect that Sydney only intend to use one first round pick for Daniher, either 5 or 9 and maybe some loose change. the need to trade with us, I feel is only to remain in the early first round after the Daniher trade is done. They will posture over which one he is worth, 5 or 9. So who might they need this pick for, that it warrants trading Papley to us for.

I agree with the initial 250 but not sure I do the extra you on the additional Adelaide contributions

Look, I'm 100% open to Adelaide paying the entirety of whatever salary Eddie gets next year - I just don't think they'll pay much more than $200k, and probably less, and I think Eddie deserves at least $300k. Still well below the AFL average.

Why would Adelaide do that?
I guess it still frees up $250k of TPP which is helpful, the other $250 might not matter so much considering how many senior players want out as they may end up shport of the 95% minimum.

Then there's the idea that Eddie is so beloved and his desire to leave Adelaide, where he was mistreated and is "desperately unhappy", that if Adelaide didn't come to play and let him go they'll be seen as the bad guys, even if the trade is heavily in our favour... why won't they let Eddie be happy?! Those b*******!

Can somebody please direct me to where all of this Zurhaar talk has come from?

I like the boy, reminds me of a young Aaron Hamill with the way he attacks the play. Doubt North release him.

Love Matt Lappin! Would have traded a top 10 pick for him, got him for 22 IIRC

Well 22 and 53, for him and 58, it seems

The Trade: Carlton traded its No.22 (James Begley) and No.53 (Troy Schwarze) draft picks to St Kilda for Matthew Lappin and pick No.58 (Ian Prendergast) in 1998.

That was mentioned here..

There first pick is mid 30’s, and who really cares...their forward line will be led by Mitch Brown and McKernan, that’s like Digby Morrell and Paul Bower [emoji23]

This is the perfect draft to sign up more flaky outside runners to top up the list[emoji6]
That's a better way of looking at it! LOL

Would hamper us getting Whitfield next year....

I can't see Whitfield ever leaving GWS. By all reports he loves it there.

His management will posture him leaving for a juicy contract (nowhere near as hard as Cogs) and he'll re-sign.
