Assuming we do get Eddie back, I wonder how much he’ll see that the club has changed. How many of the players that he played with have moved on or retired?

I reckon the club will be very different to when he was there but the fact that he doesn’t care and just wants to be back is a really positive sign.

The Carlton faithful haven't moved on and most absolutely idolize Eddie Betts!
I'm sure although a lot of players have moved on since he was at the Blues,Eddie would still be a popular figure amongst all clubs.

In all seriousness, there is only one “big fish” that makes sense. Gaff.

That assumes his recently signed contract has a get out clause that would trigger free agency.

Eagles would get round 1 compo which would give them two picks for Kelly which is about right.

But, would eagles allow gaff to walk free agency, or do they test the market for a trade? If they looking for top 10 pick, we are out.

Unless papley falls through I guess.

Just 5 players remain at the club from Eddie's time. Plenty has changed.
