Not being able to get Eddie over the line in 5 days is a joke really.

The joke is the club we are dealing with is imploding, doesn't have a senior coach, senior assistant coach, head of football, half their players are trying to escape and with Reid in charge of decisions re:list management. An absolute basket case.

Always thought Eddie would be the last done.

Jack Martin has said that playing along side with Eddie Played a part in him nominating the blues. Eddie has already proved his worth before even signing him!

Inb4 SOS convinces Young Reid to pay a portion of Jack Martin's salary next year

:p

Betts will happen, Papley will happen and Martin will happen. This has been the consistent line all along from all of the people ITK. Obviously during a trading period, everyone's situation is a bit fluid...if there are swapping of picks involved for example, then they might want to wait until they know exactly what their hand is before they commit. Similarly, if they are paying a portion of the salary, they may want to know exactly what players they have coming in and going out, to make sure that the books stack up. The overall deals are largely agreed upon, it's just the finer details that can vary slightly. We have until the end of Wednesday, if the situation is still like this at 4:45pm on that day, then we can start to panic! Up until then, go off the fact that SOS rarely fails to get the deal that he wants in the end...

McClure and Nicky Dal > any of the other combos on trade radio. McClure's spotlight segment was a good insight yesterday.

Del Santo had him squirming at times I liked the role reversal with the journo put in the hot seat by a player.

His comments re:Adelaide camp...... its seems journo's know what happened but they aren't going into details .......yet.

Must be that time of day again, question do you rush your homework and hand it in 5 days early? Adelaide and Carlton could have agreed, however for both clubs there is a PR proportion of it, for both teams, Adelaide needs to be able to spin it as he is leaving, Carlton will want to ride the romantic part of it. It’s well reported that Eddie is in Adelaide on some book tour until Sunday, from a PR perspective Carlton would prefer to do the trade and immediately invite the media to Princes Park for a press conference and photos of Eddie on the ground wearing a Carlton Polo.

You need to look at the bigger picture and what trade period is, it’s selling hope and has spectacular media coverage due to the interest, the clubs will want to use that where they can, for Carlton if that means Friday or Tuesday, I don’t think they care that you want it now

Dylan Sheil's revenge on Joe forcing him to stay after pitching the Bombers to him

Maybe big Joe has another 5 years left of Shiel's passes whizzing high and wide of him on the lead....

Who is running * though?

What a crap environment to play in, teammates forcing you to stay against your will.

I struggle to believe this is real, though. If it is, however, it will be a crushing blow for the players in the next CBA negotiations. The AFLPA has been pushing more freedom in terms of player movement none-stop this decade, and now the players are saying "no, we want you to force this player to stay." If that's true then the players are giving the AFL a massive hammer to whack them with when negotiations are up next.
