Without doubt my favourite band of all time...And there is talk of them making a new album.

My question though is with the departure of their lead singer would they have tried to find a similar sounding voice?

Anyone check these guys out live?

From what I've heard the singer is different sounding but I don't know who it actually is. I believe they will be letting everyone know closer to the release of the album.

They are definitely one of my favourites and have some really cool tunes. I loved Brett Scallion's voice and I can't wait to hear what they will sound like with a new singer.

I haven't seen them live but if they come to Australia again I will definitely check them out.

Last saturday as I lay around watching tv..I came across American Idol :o ....

Heard one of their contestants sing an awesome version of Hermorage, aparently fuel offered him the lead singer position and he turned it down!

CBS) Chris Daughtry seemed to have "American Idol" in the bag when he was unexpectedly voted off. He finished in fourth place, but that didn't stop him from following through with his dream.

Now Daughtry, who hails from North Carolina, has his own band — aptly named Daughtry — and a record deal. He had an opportunity to front the popular band Fuel, but turned it down to pursue his own music.

Daughtry first started seriously pursuing singing when he was about 16 and got married when he was 20. He has a wife and children and two small children he said misses while on tour.

"I feel like I'm going to have to learn how to be a dad and husband all over again once I get home," he told The Early Show national correspondent Hattie Kauffman. "Honestly, it's a lot harder than I expected it to be."

Putting the work in has paid of for Daughtry. Entertainment Weekly called him the surest bet ever. He said he never doubted that he could come out of "Idol" with a career.

"I felt like I was going to be OK, but I am very happy because I don't know if I would have had this awesome band behind me," he told The Early Show co-anchor Hannah Storm. "I am really happy and proud of the direction I was able to go in."

Voice wise he would have been perfect.

I dont see why bands go on once a singer has left, as in most cases thats the most definng part.

Once the singer is gone, forge your own way in music again instead of sucking off the old teet.

Good Band, but they'll screw it up. Comeback bands usually do. Not to mention with a new singer. At least they didnt do RockStar:Fuel though I guess.

I see your point but the main creative force behind the band (Carl Bell) is still there and I'm actually looking forward to hearing what sound they have with a new singer.

I can think of one band who changed singers and prospered though - Faith No More.

Thank you very much

I Think justice is great
I think ReLoad is great
i think tba is alright

My opinion ;)

AJFA = Good, but not a classic
Black = see above
Load and Reload = boring, generic Rock twaddle
StAnger = probably the worst album ever by a once-great band.

Expand your Heavy music horizons, young Matty. There's SO much more out there than 'Tallica. Check out: Opeth, Strapping Young Lad, In Flames, Nightwish, Soilwork, Lacuna Coil, Dark Tranquility, Arch Enemy, just for starters.....

Good stuff! But hard to tell, all you ever talk about is a certain has-been band from the Bay area of San Francisco.....
