Continues the theme of the week, did Cotchin play or was he just a honorary captain? Martin threatened to kick a bag, but didn’t. Thought after the Howe MOTY debacle the AFL would have learnt public votes don’t work. Some at the ground booed the announcement. Perhaps Essendon fans?

Pendlebury played consistently high quality footy throughout, but didn’t do anything flashy. A standout 4 quarter performance.

An okay game to watch. Can’t see state of origin returning permanently though. The Mexican wave sums things up, the crowd lost interest in the game during third quarter.

Personally I found myself barracking for our players more than Vics and I don’t see that changing even if it was state vs state.

Pendlebury was Pendlebury although he didn’t seem to raise much of a sweat instead playing to the pace of the game. Seemed to play more of a link role often setting up other mids via handballs.

Sidebottom barely got out of a jog.

Grundy quality stood out from what would normally be considered less minutes. All stars looked a better team when Grundy was on the field.

Moore a highlight, really put in including some long runs from defensive 50 to effect a spoil in the centre square. A couple of lovely kicks too.

Howe had a good solid game

A few years back, I doubted Pendles.
I apologise for doubting you Scott.

You’re a true champion. Not much you can’t do.

Going to be hard watching the practice matches after that exhibition.
Yes,the skills, particularly in the first three quarters, were exquisite. When you see the best playing the best like that,it does make the standard club games seem a bit pedestrian.

Also makes you wonder much better the quality of the comp would be with a few less sides.

We can breathe a sigh of relief that our blokes got through unscathed except for the Darcy scare.

Was a good game. Really fun and entertaining. I joined in on the mexican wave. Was a bit of fun. That's what everyone was there for. Wasn't always about the game. But everyone had a good time.

Ridiculous voting on BOG though..
