Hello again friends! Going into the final round of S29, we here at the Vampires would like to wish all those sides playing off for a spot in the finals all the best of luck!

With a look forward to S30, some of our rookies were interviewed about the Vampires and the SFA. For some this will be their first time being named and tagged in the SFA so everyone please welcome: MC Bad Genius , T2B_ , VandoHawk , Bradesmaen and Him!

M95: What was it about the Vampires and SFA that helped your decision to sign up?
MC: The sense of the unknown was enough to intrigue me and the team song sealed the deal.

T2B: Other than a cool name (always been vamp fan, if we can all just forget Twilight exists for a moment), it was very quickly obvious from those that approached me to join that the Vampires have some seriously good posters already and a strong captaincy.

It was obvious that this is no mickey mouse venture for the sake of it. But rather, a serious bid, well put together and planned that emphasized just how much SFA has grown into a big deal.

But as much as it's serious business, the word 'fun' has always been used around the place along with plenty of camaraderie so that hasn't been lost sight of. And ultimately, that seems to be what SFA at large is all about.

Vando: Got into e-AFL to pass the time and found that the simulations were much more entertaining than I first expected. After you reached out I had a brief look into SFA and thought it was something that would be fun to participate in. As I posted previously I don't think I would have joined another SFA team because there's heaps of established history.

Brade: It's all about that team spirit... Vampire Vodka. But in all seriousness it's the team togetherness that got me over to the Vampires. SFA is the next appropriate step in my illustrious career.

Him: I want to bring salvation to the Sweet Football Association. It is a wretched hive of scum and villainy; it requires my holy spirit.

M95: What do you expect the SFA to be like when you make your debut?
MC: The same as making my football debut in the U14s of a Sydney suburban comp, that is, lots of running around without knowing what the hell I'm doing, but enjoying myself so much I didn't even care that the coach told me off at half-time. Sorry, Millky.

T2B: I expect plenty of "test" ribbing. A few hip and shoulder to targeted areas, if you know what I mean.

I expect sometimes there will be entire threads that will fly over my head, coming into a comp with heaps of history already. But just like any rookie who dreams to start round 1 in a baptism of fire in front of 95k+ at the 'G', I'm excited.

Vando: Daunting but exciting. I'm expecting to be targeted by the more aggressive teams for being a rookie and having no history but also looking forward to seeing if I can fire back. I'm also expecting more friendly banter that should be great fun.

Brade: It'll be one wild ride, I'm looking forward to some high intensity action and the physicality.

Him: I expect that some will laugh. Some will cower in fear. Some will simply turn the other cheek. But I will save them. I will show them the error of their ways.

M95: What position do you think your skills are best suited?
MC: Third tall forward. Enough height and skill to be serviceable and bob up for a small bag every now and again, but struggle to lead a forward line if the stars aren't there. A bit of a Jack Gunston, if you will.

T2B: I expect the Vampire selection staff will find I have a bit of versatility. In saying that I would say my skills can still be specialized in certain areas, so I'm not necessarily one of those "too versatile to specialize anywhere" kind of guys.

I suspect I'm probably best suited around the wing. Can do damage in the forward foreys, but also go with the opposition posters the other way when required. What I sometimes lack in truly polished and refined skills I usually make up for in competitiveness and guile

Plus, I get to play alongside Him, and I'm really excited to learn from that experience.

Vando: Wherever the coach puts me. But I think I'd be best as a pure inside mid hunting the ball.

Brade: I have an eye for goal and always know where they are, one of the deadliest right boots in all the land. Best position is FF or CHF, tall and a raking right foot. What's a handpass?

Him: I believe that my position is the Sacred Son, returning to this mortal plain to deliver the Third Testament.

M95: What do you want to get out of your SFA rookie season?
MC: Universal acclaim.

T2B: Get games, obviously, but I would like to think once I get out there that my existing skills and fitness base (while still improving) will serve me well to adjust quicker than some might expect. I'll leave nothing out on the field, let's put it that way, so at least I'll know I gave 110%.

But ultimately, get to know more posters and have a good time.

Vando: Probably for the first season just an overall introduction to things - getting into the groove and up to speed. Warming up to the existing teams and finding out who I like and don't like. A little bit of instant success wouldn't go amiss.

Brade: MVP, Leading Goalkicker, Premiership winner. Anything less is not good enough.

Him: To bring salvation to the repentant, and damnation to those who trespass against me.
