Yes, but umpiring has been so bad for so long that the onus has shifted. It is no longer necessary for posters to show that the standard of umpiring in a game was bad; that is now a given. The onus is now on posters claiming otherwise to show that umpiring in a given game was good.

Mental weakness has for too long been our downfall. Players like Walsh and Cottrell address that. Give me that kind of inner fortitude and tenacity any day over a naturally talented, lazy player.

It was a very heartening fight back from Samo after a horrid start to the night, this was probably the first time all year where I saw him happy and engaged in the rooms after the game as well and hopefully it is the beginnings of us getting the old Samo back at his blistering best.

Serious question - was anyone able to determine what changed structurally to allow SPS more midfield time???

I don't think he actually played midfield but because the swans play very compact he was able to move up the ground

My son and I are still laughing at the redhead kicking the goal and flexing with a trickle of blood coming from his nose. By far the funniest thing I have seen on the footy field in a long time.

He had a pretty poor night until that moment but it just goes to show, persevere and good things can happen.

I reckon Cottrell will be a good honest player for many years to come.

Have to say Owies has something. Love his intent when he tackles. Unlucky not to have two HTB decisions paid because of in the back which would have been two shots on goal. Will learn and we should persist
