As per the Bluemour File OP, this is a thread for discussing Carlton related rumours.

Rumour posters should post their rumours in both threads for those that like just to read rumours and for those that like to have get lost in their rumour files.

His hamstrings scare me more

Is this injury crocked rubbish still going on? He averages 19.2 games a season over his career. It was a 20.3 average taking away this season. He averages 5 more games per season than Patrick Cripps does. This injury crocked thing about Treloar is a pile of crap.

Collingwood has agreed to pay a portion of his salary next year. Next year is the lowest year of his contract, ~450. After that he still has 4 years on 900.
There are question marks over his hamstring. But the bigger question marks will be over how his contract will hamstring our list build.

“He’s all wrong for us baby” ...

Collingwood agree to pay 300K per year for his contract, and we renegotiate the payment structure to suit us. Plenty of options really. And this hamstring thing is bogus. He averages more than 19 games a season over his career and goes up to more than 20 games a season average if you take out this year, where he only played 10 games.

He did double hamstrings in a game against us a few years ago.

Problem with splitting pick 8 is that if * dont accept 18 or 19 we have unnecessarily trade pick 8

Would be a ballsy move though and I would love it!!!!!

Would be the best thing that could happen for us, Dildoro would have to accept pick 19 or nothing...
That's why he is trying to bluff us into not doing it...

At worst we could use Pick 18 Henry Walsh & Pick 19 at the draft for Saad...
No way Essendon would burn Pick 6 or 7 on Saad in the draft. It would also make them miss Dunkley and maybe others...

Dont take into account his career averages, his hamstrings will start to become a major concern

Would take Tom Phillips over Treloar, he can do things defensively that we need.

I don't know why people keep banging on about Treloar - multiple ITK's have confirmed he is not in our plans. Forty3 elaborated on it in great detail too.

The only person who is of interest to Carlton that the ITK's haven't put a line through explicitly is Stephenson, who would be a great pickup for a late 2nd/early 3rd round pick. There's an outside chance that Oliver is still in play, as ITK's haven't put a line through him either - however, that seems left field unless Treloar can get to the Dees.

Hawks seem to be on to him according to the media. Could they pick up Phillips and Treloar?

Treloar was a Carlton supporter growing up. He’s made it clear he aint moving interstate and wants to play for finals contender... I suspect he, if we can afford him, may nominate us...

I’m all for him as the Oliver talk has died...

Did the big double hamstring tendon injury against us in 2018. Hurt one in the pre-season and then again against the Swans in August. He's developing a nasty habit with them.

Looks like our actual draft night participation could be minimal. Gibbons promoted & say 2 others; Jnrs Walsh & Papley perhaps..?
