I'm happy for Ratts that he not only got the Saints job, but they've clearly supported him in the trade period the last 2 years and have looked to shake up their list and get some pretty big names in. While I think they overpaid for Hanneberry & Hill, gotta respect them for at least making moves and suddenly they are able to bring in some good players.

Hanneberry, Hill, Jones, Butler, Howard, Ryder, B Crouch and now J Higgins...decent ins over the last few trade periods. They were stagnant before that under Richardson, rolling with the same players and getting the same poor results.

I can definitely see us giving them an ultimatum on a deal that includes pick 8, or else we split the pick. But I can’t see us giving an ultimatum by midday tomorrow that would see us trade away all our best trade assets for another player altogether, leaving us little to actually try and secure the player that has openly nominated us.
