You only have to look at the reporters he works with to understand he's not hard core left.

Hard core left *******s won't associate with many of the people he does.
That makes no argument at all.

You think the hard core left support Assange?
Yes, actually. Assange has certainly drawn support from the hard-left over the years. Assange's own political leanings are hard to delineate but you could argue he and Wikileaks were born out of the radical transparency movement of the far-left.

I think some of your terms are confused.

Jimmy Dore is a Bernie Sanders supporter who has since become increasingly affiliated with the progressive, anti-establishment populist left and he reckons Joe Biden's a war criminal. He wouldn't be out of place on RT.

If that's not hard-left, I'm not sure what we're discussing.

Actually it makes a perfectly valid argument.

Why would you constantly bring on reporters who aren't hardcore left if you were pushing a hardcore left view point?

The hardcore left aren't open to other people's views if they don't mirror their own. No different to the hard ore right.

Are they hard to delineate?

When he started the Wikileaks party in 2013 what was that parties ideology?

It's noted as being a Libertarian party.

He's on record as being a fan of Rand Paul.

There's more of an argument it was started from a Libertarian anti-big government corruption stand point.

That makes far more sense that he would follow a philosophy less tired to traditional political parties in this country.

Bernie Sanders isn't hardcore left, that made me laugh that you think bringing up his name as evidence of the hard core left.

Bernie is the classic champagne socialist.

The hardcore left are authoritarians at heart.

Jimmy ain't no authoritarian.

Jimmy is an old school Liberal.

That's why he can cross over with Libertarian minded people on various issues.

More nonsense.

You are making sweeping statements about what the left do and don't do. Who are you talking about specifically? I get the sense you are talking about US politics exclusively through the lens of the culture war, which would explain your confusion.

You are trying to make an argument about Dore's positions based on who he invites on his show? It's of course a bogus argument. Bill Maher has had Steve Bannon on his show. What do you claim this reveals about Bill Maher's personal politics? It reveals nothing.

Are they hard to delineate?

Yes, Assange's personal politics are difficult to delineate because, as far as they have been expressed openly, they are defined by a relatively narrow field of issues.

There's more of an argument it was started from a Libertarian anti-big government corruption stand point.

That makes far more sense that he would follow a philosophy less tired to traditional political parties in this country.
How is there "more of an argument that Wikileaks was started from a libertarian standpoint"? You're trying to connect it to the US libertarian tradition. So go ahead - make that connection.

It emanated from hacker culture and the international radical transparency movement, which is affiliated with the European left.

You also suggested that the left don't support Assange. Do you stand by that? I guess you don't consider Noam Chomsky, Michael Moore, Oliver Stone or Jeremy Corbyn to be LW. They've all supported Assange at various stages. You don't know this?

You're out of your depth.

Bernie Sanders isn't hardcore left, that made me laugh that you think bringing up his name as evidence of the hard core left.

Who do you consider to be hard-left?

Your formulation is that no one is hard-left unless they're authoritarian?

Again, your terms are confused.

Like I said, Jimmy Dore is a Bernie Sanders supporter who has since become increasingly affiliated with the progressive, anti-establishment populist left and he reckons Joe Biden's a war criminal. He wouldn't be out of place on RT.

In the modern American context, that is hard-left.

tell you what grinds my gears paying for Spotify premium and half way through a Rogan Ep it cuts to a Sportsbet ad! thought it was meant to be Ad free

This

Seems like Spotify are saying its Rogan's call. Which strikes me as bullshit anyway, ie. if you advertise an ad-free premium service you should have the ability to not serve ads to those accounts irrespective of what box the content creator is ticking in their settings. Its not like Joe is reading the sportsbet adds himself and embedding them in the content.

On Instagram, the podcaster, who professes not to be “an authority on health” but has discouraged young people from getting the coronavirus vaccine, said that he had “immediately thrown the kitchen sink” at his infection. Among the many medications he used, he said, was ivermectin, a drug used against parasites in humans and livestock.
