In a shock move on the eve of Season 33, Wonders legend and ex-Demon ClarkeM has decided to again pull on the boots for Mount Buller. When quizzed on the surprise defection, ClarkeM, who makes up the entirety of the self-appointed Rookie Police for Season 33, stated that "the Demons are clearly struggling with rookies, and they need to do better."

ClarkeM continued, "my team is the Wonders, sure, but the Demons' rookie situation is all of our business."

The Wonders have a long history of abstaining in league-related decisions that "don't affect them", so it was a shock for some to see a representative of the Wonders actively engage the Demons about their squad submission, but future Hall-of-Famer Headless was unsurprised.

"Naturally, the Demons have had one of the weakest posting sides across the last several seasons, and have a clear track record of poor engagement with the rest of the league," Headless said.

"It would be a disservice for the league if players from other clubs didn't start pushing for more Demon rookies."

The Demons and the Wonders clash metaphorical horns at the Snow Dome this Sunday to kick off the new season. The Foundation Cup is not to be missed.

As an almost entirely neutral observer of the great game, I can assure everyone ClarkeM is staying at the Wonders.
