Looking at the positive side of Marchys injury our backline trio of Young, Marchbank, Plowman would probably have been monstered against some of the taller forward lines we are about to face. Sam if he comes on actually gives us better balance and a better chance.

Only played on Stewart for a short amount of time. Stewart kicked one goal on him.

From memory, he only had 1 kicked on him. Also had a brain fade and got caught holding the ball on our goal line too. But he didn't play a bad game imo, we serviceable.

And that's all we really need Durdin to be; serviceable. If he keeps his opponent to 1-2 goals but team defense holds up, he's done his job. And if he plays well for 4 weeks, he might end up staying in the team with Weitering and Young.

Kemp was playing on him, Durdin looked great. The HTB was a non issue, he stepped backwards with composure and broke a tackle only to drop the ball as he pushed the tackler away. He looks good.

Good user, good reader of the ball in flight and a big, mature body.

I read that too. Missed an appearance at an event last night which was down to flu symptoms. Blessing. Evens up the lack of defenders. Handy that it’s small pressure players (dusty and Bolton) particularly if it rains heavy.

I actually wanted Surdin in, even before Marchies injury. So I guess I get my wish, just feeling sad for Caleb. Have a feeling that their could be a couple more changes this week, than what most of us are expecting. Time will tell. Would not mind seeing Cotters get a full game, Setters to take Cerras role and still think Kemp and Stocker could be very useful.

Yep figured we'd bring him in and that was before the Marchbank news broke out.

Wasn't too bad in the VFL but we're really not in a position to not play him with Riewoldt and Lynch up there.

Haha, here's hoping it's true! their midfield rotations will be down to barebones if so and that should negate the loss of our key defensive pillars given you'd expect the quality of ball coming in to be poor.
