I know its his first game back but Cunners was another one that had a terrible night - good games are too far and in between - when not injured that is

Pendles in clear space in our d50 and cunners guarding space 15 m away all by himself

Lots of examples like that and not just cunners - too many passengers tonight

Durdin 5 disposals @ 40% efficiency, 0 contested possessions, 0 tackles, 9 pressure acts, 0 score involvements

Fantasia 4 disposals @ 75% efficiency, 4 contested possessions, 2 tackles, 10 pressure acts, 1 score involvement

Certainly can't just single out Fantasia here.
Ive doubted Durdin for a while now. I'm just not sure what he actually provides at the moment. Supposedly he's pressure forward but I dont see it, neither do the stats, and he's certainly not a goal threat.

I see potential but not seeing him provide anything at the minute.

Fantasia out Motlop in
Young out McGovern in
Cincotta out Saad in
Durdin out Martin in

Marchbank may find a spot also.

For all the doom and gloom on here, you guys probably win if Harry just bombs it to the goal square.
Maybe, but that's not the issue atm. It's our lack of system and quality ball use.
At least 4 times tonight guys had a half ar..... dab at the football with their foot in a contested situation instead of putting their head over the ball. Each lack of effort directly led to goals.
Lewis Young was guilty at least twice.

I didn't even realise Durdin was playing. For a forward to have ZERO score involvements is embarrassing for him.
Its round 9 and still no MOTLOP. Must have the worst hamstrings in the history of AFL footy

Hewy needs to take his first option - hangs on too long at times

Finding the balance between first option and panicky sky balls off the back foot.

We get it wrong a lot at the moment.

SO few examples of a Blue running shoulders out towards goal with open grass. Almost none, in fact. Everything is around the corner or up the chimney.

Funnily enough, Hewett and Cripps seem to be the ones who get out the “front” most often and they are not the guys we want doing it. Got to get run-by options and quick hands. The Owies to Cuningham score being a great example of how to get speed on the ball.

I feel like Hewett has been exposed a bit this season. Ball in hand he's been rather poor. He's our best defensive mid for sure but this season he's been poor ball in hand and isn't breaking tackles like he once did. If he doesn't break a tackle he's not mobile enough to step through so he's got nothing else.
He was exposed tonight - but has been great this year prior.

He needs to find the outside with his first opportunity.
