You do get that some salary has to exit right? Do you think you are hitting next year with 1.2 mill under the cap so Petracca can just rock up as is ?
I’d be shocked if blues not offering up Cerra was the stumbling block in getting Trac. 100% take it to the bank if blues are keen on Trac they’ll pack Cerra’s bags for him.

If Trac wants to join a big club that has little salary cap space then he has to take a pay cut on current contract he is not worth more than Cripps

Both match winners - but one is a bonafide leader the other is broken goods.
We spent a lot of coin on Martin and marchbank 3-4 years ago that is coming to an end this year and both will be gone. Remember we upped our offer to get martin through psd and marchbank was at the time given a decent contract and expected to be a lynch pin with weitering for a decade.
Cerra isn't that good. Not sure why you wouldn't be all in on bringing in Petracca if it meant Cerra was part of the deal.
Just envision Cripps getting out to Petracca who can break the lines and kick the ball outside the fifty. He would be a complete game changer for your club.

Yep. Owies, Cerra, Kennedy, Hewett, Martin, Marchbank, Cuningham, Carroll even McGovern or Williams.
Those are the players we'd be moving around to make the cap space needed. TDK could be the best ruck in the league next year, we are not trading him for a 29 year old want away star

Agree, Cerra is a good player but Petracca is a superstar. If that was the player the Dees were demanding we'd be silly not to include him in our offer.

Cerra is a very handy player and is very good when he is up and running, think he flies under the radar a bit.(Not saying he's a game breaker like Trac, very few of those running around.)
The repetitive soft tissue stuff that he seem to have struggled to get on top of is a bit of a worry.
Old cliche, but your best ability is your availability.
Might have been due in part to the talk about the strength and conditioning.
But Cerra is presumably a part Carlton would way more readily consider than a McKay, Curnow...
Not sure where I read it, but he's also apparently not a massive footy head, playing footy is a job for him that he happens to be pretty bloody good at, don't think his blood bleeds any particular colour in that sense.

Going to be an interesting 5-6 weeks still. He's the sort of professional that you'd back to return and play well regardless, but there's certainly been damage done to the relationship there.
Regardless, we're not achieving anything meaningful until Pert, Roffey and Goodwin are in the rear-view mirror. Just delaying the inevitable by running it back with the current setup.
