I like a backline of Hammer, Dougal and Wilkie. Hammer can be aggressive and intercept and set up as can Dougal. Lots more flexibility.

Dougs back in frees up Wilkie to be the main intercepting defender. He hasn't been able to do that as much as he would like, due to having to defend more with our lack of height and experience in defense.I'm not so sure. Both are pure stoppers, who can be a liability with ball in hand. Neither is going to be an intercepting/3rd-man-in type.
I hope so or hes hes another typical stkilda ball butcher. Hes avgs 1 touch a km and 40 percent of them are turovers. Lot of useless running which also tells me he doesnt read the game very well. Low footy IQ from what i see. Which has been our mantra the last 16 years.Wilson is young
He has been played imo for too long a stretch now he needs a VFL run but we saw something so have pumped games into him
I would do a Pou and send him back to VFL for a block and tell you’ll play pure mid there we want you back with the same intensity Pou showed
He’s a pro Wilson he’ll learn to lower eyes over time also

I agree. I think the three of them potentially could end up better than Wilkie, doogs and battle. My concern is we need height in the fwd line and Hammer may need to spend time up forward until Max comes back.I like a backline of Hammer, Dougal and Wilkie. He left because he wanted to play half-backBen long is the no 1 rated forward in he afl. Incredible

Not to mention the $500k for four years. He left because he wanted to play half-back
How's Olli Hotton travelling?Ben long is the no 1 rated forward in he afl. Incredible
The previous group massively underrated Long. I know people like to justify the trade but it was an error, exacerbated by the poor drafting that followed to burn the good pick we got for him. I know that Enright was really upset to lose him, it's a shame we couldn't see what Ross would have gotten out of him. But the people that made the call are long gone so what can you do? I still love watching him but wish he was still a Saint. Not to mention the $500k for four years.
HE was a sitting duck forward one week back the next. Its a ahame as he was a beautiful kick and he had mongrel. I was a huge fan. Im glad hes going well until he plays us.The previous group massively underrated Long. Who?How's Olli Hotton travelling?
NO 1 forward in the comp for a packet of chips. Not to mention the $500k for four years.
I think you’re being harsh on Darcy. He did well playing on a HFF last year and kicked 2 or 3 goals against Geelong. He’s still learning, obviously got a long way to go. I can see him turning into a Kelly from GWS in about 4 years time.I hope so or hes hes another typical stkilda ball butcher. Hes avgs 1 touch a km and 40 percent of them are turovers. I see what you did thereI think everyone needs to calm down about Boxshall. Until our midfield actually shows that it’s incompetent, and until Boxshall can show he can get 30+ touches and 10+ clearances in a vfl game then it’s not worth considering him. If that does, in our wildest dreams, happen then its a no brainer to debut him.
He was given every opportunity in both the back half and front half of the ground. He just could never get going for us.The previous group massively underrated Long.
