He’s played 6 games for 1 goal, 3 points and 2 GA. Even the defensive pressure he’s renowned for hasn’t really featured much this year.

At the moment it feels like he’s lagging behind Motlop, Durdin, Williams and White in terms of forward pressure and scoreboard impact. Hopefully he can turn it around this week against his old club.
What's his pressure rating?

Now that he is in I hope Big H is ready to kill it. I wish him all the best. Lewis Young stiff to be dropped but understandable in terms of team balance. Lachie Fogarty very lucky to hang on. Needs to do more.

Interesting that they are happy to play three very tall talls in their back six - O'Sullivan and Blicavs 198cm, SDK 200cm....

Whereas we're running with three of our small forwards - three of White, Williams, Mots and Durdin....

Advantage to us if at all wet or slippery....

I suppose we have to trust those selecting the team, closer to Harry’s physical & mental preparation.

Having Harry in invites a key tall to stand him, no matter what. That’s the worst case scenario - that he comes in to take a man.

Best case is he contributes by providing a marking target & kicks a couple of goals.
Best case is he kicks a bag....

He's better overhead than any of their defenders and certainly considerably quicker than SDK and O'Sullivan.

Blicavs will likely go to him.

I wonder who from our team mans Stewart?

Cinc did such a good job last year.

May have been Kemp if he were playing.

The good news is his form has been shyte.

Whoever he ends up on needs to get busy working off him.

Maybe Williams.

PS - went back to the future, to make the past make sense given the current conversation - if you know what I mean!

(otherwise we would all be sucked into a catastrophic misinformation black hole)

He has been playing a role, and his fitness was a bit patchy to start off the season, same as about half the team.

While we struggled to get separation, he struggled to have an impact around the ball despite getting his hands on it. Fog is in great form and is seeing reward for his efforts in forward pressure and scoring chains, while also looking sharp overhead, something he's lacked throughout his career.

With Durdin having form closer to goal now, and Motlop having a big contribution around stoppages, he compliments the forward group well with his outside production from half-forward while playing a defensive role.

It’s been a while since he kicked a bag. First full game since round one coming back from physical and mental problems against a good side I’ll be over the moon if he kicks a couple goals and competes hard.

I suspect Geelong will play SDK on him mainly as he has done a job on him in the past but Blicsavs and O’Sullivan may play on him at different times. As for Stewart I think Cottrell will go to him.

Last week Geelong used Blicavs in the ruck to force meek to pick between two at a time. So I’m not sure they can cope with him in the backline. TDK will kill Stanley everywhere.

Massive game tomorrow........

I am all over the place. Gather round in Adelaide (bloody brilliant again) then Easter and good Friday(also rather brilliant :D ) and then Anzac Day yesterday. I keep losing track of what day/ holiday I am actually enjoying :thumbsu: (and when the bottle shops are open or not ).......

Would cap off a great few weeks if we can knock over those bloody Pussies and wipe the smile from Danger's face and rip that head band off that other one as well..... more headbands in the Geelong team than any on record I reckon but you know who I mean in particular. ;)

That little round the corner kicker Miers being out for them is big......He has hurt us badly in the past. Good player!

TDK will have a BIRTHDAY and could destroy a couple of them IMO . They may even have to resort to little Bro.
Tom would love this I reckon.

Little Durds blasting back into form now finally fully fit is also having a huge impact.

What a difference when you have a damaging small forward.

Gov to shut down Cameron and JSOS to Danger would be my preferred and what match ups they could be.

Gonna be a HUGE GAME

WE WIN......GO BLUES. :carlton:

Fogarty is not currently in great form.

Last week against North, possibly the weakest defence in the league, he managed a modest 11 pressure acts for the game, 57% DE the worst in the team, and kicked 1 point.

In contrast Motlop had 29 PA, White 18, Durdin 13 and Williams 12 with all kicking multiple goals. Acknowledge they are closer to goal and would get better scoring opportunities.

But even Lord who played less than a quarter and further out had 6 pressure acts and hit the scoreboard.

If Fog’s role is to mainly bring forward pressure he was down last week as he was in the first round.

Do the top sides like Collingwood and Brisbane have forwards who hardly touch it and don't kick goals? I think we are just doing the best with what we have got. We are lucky White, Williams, Cottrell and Durdin are going ok. Fogarty does the bare minimum and isn't in the best form. E Hollands came in and hardly did enough to push another forward out so that is why Fogarty is playing however I think Lord should be a part of our forward/mid rotations as he can do the pressure stuff and bullocking up forward and also seems to kick goals. Rather he starts and isn't sub.
