You quoted me who was talking to someone in relation to the Bears. Don't pretend like you weren't baiting my response.
I genuinely had no idea who was being referred to. I was sharing my thoughts on the matter generally.

Don’t assume intention where there was none. Personally, I have an affinity for the Bears and their posters.

Bombers R15

3 - Bears posters for tolerating the week.
0 - unwanted guests
0 - Bombres

Thread 0/5. Bombers need to find a way to stand on their own two feet and not openly encourage outside input. Over 200 posts from non-bears or bombers team members. A captain that openly encourages it by engaging in the behaviour. Not even not so subtle retorts on the matter saw the message get through. Usually a very placid go with the flow 300+ gamer but **** me we played the OOB already.
No amount of complaining will stop the "intrusions" encouraged by the ever popular Friday night Tube Radio sessions. We encourage it and others respond accordingly.

69 pages of interactions suggests that the Bombers are doing just fine when it comes to engagement, even without the input of others from outside the participating teams. Having them add some extra colour and movement to the thread is a good thing given the single biggest complaint about the SFA is the lack of engagement.
R15 Vs Bombers

Match thread 1/5 —- too much RL discussion from one person influenced the vibe of the thread. When one person dominates the thread it’s impossible for many people to join in.
DemurePrincess topped the tally with 20.71% of the contributions to our thread. 53 individual contributors to the thread makes a mockery of your claim that "it's impossible for many people to join in".

As a quick comparison with the other match threads, the next highest single person contribution was 20.42% of the total, yet not one complaint about anyone dominating that thread.

The "lowest" top contributor in a match thread was 11.55%, which interestingly is less than the percentage of your contribution to our match thread if we remove DemurePrincess from the equation.

It is disappointing that post-game temper tantrums leading to deliberate vote tampering and/or invalid votes can skew the outcome of the awards for those that are actually interested in the result.

It is kind of self-defeating to bleat about having a poor experience in a match thread while undermining the work done by others to facilitate a league award, which leads to a poor experience for everyone else.

Be better.

Honestly, the best way to enjoy the SFA is to appreciate what each different team brings to match threads and wider discussion.

Using the Bombers as an example (as they're being spoken about in this thread) – whilst they don't necessarily match my posting style, I find myself enjoying how chaotic their threads can be. I've had some great fun in games with them this season, whereas in the past I might have been somewhat dismissive/disengaged as I bought into the narrative about them before experiencing it properly myself (groupthink can be a hell of a thing).

One of the best things about this place is that in successive weeks, you could be up against the chaos of the Bombers, the rusted-on old fellas over at the Roys, the wicked humour of the Furies, or the super-engaged, consistent Demons etc. It might just be me, but I find that variation super enjoyable – if teams didn't have their own identities/posting styles, this place would get pretty mundane quickly.

So yeah, not everyone will match your vibe and that's fine, but I don't believe that attempting to publicly denigrate them for your own lack of ability to get along is particularly fair. And if players from other teams come and join in the fun, who really cares? Would you rather a six-page match thread where the entire sim is completed on one page with no banter/discussion whatsoever?

Anyway, off my soapbox.

Depends: do we win?

Good to see the Wonders slipping under the radar again.

I was tempted to provide a summary of all 13 teams, but figured that'd lead to more drama lol
