Never thought it would get to the stage where there were too many footy review shows and yet here we are.

Here's a show more interested in the sideline bull**** around the game than the game itself. You have Cornes and his desperate attempts to make it all about him, ridiculous hot takes and a desire to be talked about at any cost.

Wilson is bizarrely obsessed by the off field, particularly admin at AFL head office and clubs and especially if those roles are filled by women and like Cornes, she has her hobby horses and rides them to the death.

Riewoldt, apart from the distracting chompers, tries hard, maybe a bit too hard hence he always seems to shout. Has some decent insights, but a bit meh.

Hutchison plays his role. Constantly playing Devil's Advocate, fanning the flames and igniting conflict to get eyeballs it's what he does. It's tiring to think he views it necessary to have conflict and controversy at every turn.

It isn't bad, it just feels a little hollow, like something is missing. They have all the same pieces in place as they had on FC last year, Riewoldt is an upgrade on Lloyd IMO.

But I don't know, hard to put a finger on it. They have dropped some of the footy analysis I think compared to FC and in a show that was already geared towards the off-field and creating headlines, it has probably swung it too far towards creating headlines. As a result, 80-85% of the show feels like they are trying to stir the pot, even if they don't necessarily believe what they are pushing.

Conversely, and I must say, haven't caught much of FC this year but from what I have seen despite the inclusion of McClure it seems to have retained the balance better between on and off-field issues.

But unfortunately, They've got the McClure balance wrong too.
