Uncontested? It was a hot spear wearing Idun as a backpack. If he got him high, it's not by default.

I bag Jesse out often, but the level of it is hysterical of late. He is the whipping boy of our times. Our supporters seem to need one. They won't ever recognise anything decent he does. 6 tackles? Nothing?
..it’s cos he fumbles the ball, then his opponent picks it up and he tackles them 😬
I jest. But seriously, we have no one to bring in for him anyway.
I just don’t get the CBAs when lord shows incredible signs in contested situations

Horrendous

Same issues every week. More inside 50s (again) but as usual our entries are completely brain dead and without system. Bomb it long and hope

When this doesn’t come off? Teams run it out of D50 with ease and cut us up because we are desperately slow across the ground and get much easier shots at goal out the back on the counter, while we labour through shit entry after shit entry and make scoring look so bloody hard

There has been not one inkling of this changing all season outside of belting that Arden St rabble on Good Friday. Outside of that one wonderful run in 2023 we have been complaining about the same issues under Voss every week. Our list is no doubt ordinary but our coaching staff are just as ****ing bad

Weitering horrific, Walsh terrible, Hewett absent but I’ll let him off
McGovern the less said the better
TDK isn’t worth 1m let alone 1.7m

Only real positive was Doc showing rumours of his demise are greatly exaggerated
Cerra been our most consistent performer after George and was good again today
Lord impressive
Well done to HOF - looked quite impressive early but don’t blame him for fading

This list and this coaching staff are going nowhere

He cannot get separation and is pretty much not AFL standard.

As I said, I call it how I see it.

He is not quick enough for a small forward and I say it often. He hasn't applied enough forward pressure and hasn't shown any physicality in a heap of games. However, he did today.

The fact that people ignore that and go back to the default, not AFL standard, is the frustrating part. They will give zero credit for anything he does.

I'm half wondering if I will still see Docherty criticised today.

If any player shows something in the key areas for their position, I want to give them credit. It could be the first time this year, and it might be the last. But if you can't give credit for anything, you have to ask yourself why you are barracking against a player.

Are 6 tackles because you’re second to the ball?

Doc, Lord, Ollie, Cez, Fog, Haynes, White worked hard all game under some duress by the looks.

HOF did some nice things early and Carroll popped up with a couple nice contests and kicks.

Wrong game for George to go missing and Weiters omg with minimal meaningful impact from Walsh. Mots needs a break in the twos. Durds would be close too.

Particularly stupid football played by Carlton, especially going into the forward 50 and the midfield as a group made it hard for the defenders.

Said it in the game day thread, panic panic panic followed by dumb decisions and poor skills in execution.

The media will have a field day (again) and so they should.

I said it from the get go. Our pressure was down. So was there’s, but they don’t play a pressure game. So we played into their hands from the outset. Add to that some of the dumbest mistakes I’ve seen in a long time, and a bunch of endurance runners who can’t kick to save themselves, and leaders who, collectively, shat their pants all match, and here we are.

This is on all aspects of the club.

List Managent that’s favoured endurance over speed and skills. Oh, and a shocking eye for a small forward.

Coaches who have a game plan that the players aren’t capable or smart enough to follow.

Players—experienced players—who drop their bundle the moment things get a bit tough. The better clubs thrive on adversity. We sit in a corner and sob.

Going to the football isn’t fun.

Turned it off after quarter time. I just don’t care anymore.

As soon as JSOS was out I knew we would lose.

Towards the end of the first quarter all our momentum had disappeared.
It seems Voss comes in with a plan that works at the start, he gets countered then has no plan B to wrestle back the momentum.

Most of the senior players are just pocketing a paycheck.

I’m seriously done with this club until next year.

What a pathetic waste of a season, again derailed by injuries.

We just never have a good run with injuries. Every ****ing year.

Can anyone remember the last time we had a decently healthy list half way through the season?

I can’t.

I’m starting to think of this club as one of my ex wives …. Something that I used to love but now just seems like a money grubbing waste of time.

Carroll got a bit of the ball & showed something.

White certainly not as bad as some of the more senior players....I think your being too harsh on those 2 young blokes.
Yep, ridiculous list. If your 2 best players do the selfish things Weitering and Cripps did today then what chance have we got.

Cripps has gone back to a few years ago where he just tries too hard to be the hero.

We look so disorganised out there and definitely some of that is coaching but our leaders have to do better.

And don’t get me started on Walsh!

Good to see Doc being more like the Doc we knew.

Unfortunately, and ironically, it was all the other veterans besides Haynes, that let us down badly.

He tried to lift us. Tried his absolute damnedest.

I'm disappoitned for him. We couldn't have asked for much more than he gave us today.

Coastal Lion You seem to be new around here. You don't go on to opposition boards and emoji troll them. Remove them or have your reaction ability removed.

Thank you

Just a diabolical team effort.

Coaches: clueless. Wouldn’t pay anyone in that coaches box a single cent. If even a single one of these guys holds their position next season, we’re screwed.

Players: TDK, McKay, Walsh, Weitering (~4mil tied up here btw) were a special level of garbage today. McGovern, Motlop, Saad not too far behind. Not going to call out any of the youngsters; can’t possibly expect them to perform when their leaders play like cheeks.

Cerra, Doch, Fog, Haynes and Ollie were ok.

And lastly, just the club in general. Complete bunch of losers hoping we can “do a Brisbane” and win the cup. I’ve never heard anything more delusional in my life. This is a 14th - 16th level team at best and whether we like it or not, the rebuild needs to start from now.

Hats of to GWS, came here without 3/4 best midfielders and put us to the sword. Quality outfit.
“Not going to call out any of the youngsters” literally after calling out a 21 year old who has played 50 games.
