  • On the way to Ikon Park today for meet and greet
  • Played for Geelong Falcons u18 in 2020, interrupted by Covid, overage in 2021, had some injuries
  • Train-on at Werribee in 2022, got very little game time in 2022 and 2023
  • Played in the GFL while not playing Werribee seniors, at one point was struggling at that level
  • Turning point was prob 2023 off-season; could have gone back to local footy, but Dom Brew pushed him to stick at it
  • Got to a point where he might have dropped the footy dream and focused on career, but wanted to give it one last push
  • Things started to take off last year, knuckled down, sacrificed a lot to get here
  • Gave himself goals to make it to AFL; extra workouts, adding size, working on diet, not going out as much etc
  • Strengths: x-factor, dangerous in the air and at ground, can make things happen, ball use, does what's needed for the team
  • Spoke to Carlton last Thurs, but had no idea we would pick him. Carlton gave him no real indication

His kicking reminds me of Frank Marchesani (showing my age), just about the best kick of a football I've still ever seen, definately like the look of this young fella! ;)
Good call DL, probably only a couple of us oldies remember Marchesani. Beautiful long raking kicks from the wing.

Jack Martin replacement? Different type but same role?

Remember him well, was a favorite of mine. Should have had a much longer career with us. Think it was a knee injury, that

caused him a lot of grief. But, could be wrong about that. Got to meet him a few years back, he was working for one of my

bro-in-laws at the time.
