Why not give Lemmey a run?
I think the club prefers the cohesion in the reserves with the kids currently. Taking Lemmey out of the that team will have drastic effects on their performance. Losing Durdin and cincotta doesn’t really impact them as their is better reserves players that can play their role (Nelson, Hogg, Phipps-parsons and Stevens) in the seconds which would happily jump on an AFL list.

The one thing I’m concerned with is the impact acres could potentially have negatively on the reserves performance by missing targets and kicking it OOF every third disposal.

Acres dropped isn't wrong but feels like there's a few that would be as deserving and maybe even more so.

Anyway not much surprises me anymore with selection. Just gotta hope that this time the group that goes out there actually does something, and doesn't leave a bunch of kids crying for once.

Interesting changes as we didn't really fill that open wing spot and also didn't bring in a running back so Ollie to the wing may not be as common sense as I thought. Love that they have backed in HOF but important imo that they keep McGovern forward. The four talls in defence has not worked at all this season. Also hoping F.Young avoids the sub vest this week. I would have preferred another change or two involving Doc/McGovern/Fogarty potentially but with the 5 day break from the VFL game it may be asking for too much.
5 small forwards means that one will be sub. Probably Durdin who is off the 5 day break. Cincotta full game as he was travelling emergency and was held out of the vfl due to the short turnaround. Flynn is most able to take the wing if OH stays in the backline. But c they could very well use Cincotta to tag Zac Bailey and push Ollie up the wing. Leaves Cowan to be the more offensive option.

1 tall forward. Again.

McGovern, TDK and Pittonet are not key forwards.

Harris Andrews is going to do some ungodly things to our forwards.

Not sure how Boyd keeps being overlooked
Generally looks like he gives a shit, can kick and bites it off,
Meanwhile our ball use from kick ins etc is so limp
I think someone said on here a couple of weeks ago that Boyd had been a naughty boy last off season and was paying the price.

Reckon we’ll see fog get a run in the middle this week, won’t help the kicking portion of our woes but will help with the pressure around the ball.

I mean you have TDK and Curnow respectively rated 4th and 5th worst in that match and yet no consequences. Terrible.
Where you getting this from? On the AFL app his points have Charlie at 7th best for the team; 9 marks, 18 disposals… but he missed a few

Or is this sarcasm?

Wow, beaten badly by large margins last couple of rounds, by our underperforming players thru their lack of intensity, work effort and lack of run, and there's only two changes. Two similar players replaced by two similar players. Definitely lack of selection integrity here. Dropping Acres is not making a statement, others should have been dropped as well. Typical Voss, stubborn refusal to drop underperforming senior players, for vfl players knocking the door down and deserved of a game at the higher level.

I'm sure that it is preferable to lose by 8-10 goals rather than 15 goals or more, hence the changes are minimal.

The VFL played 4 days ago. Pretty brutal to bring in a kid off a break like that - especially seeing as the game was pretty intense

Good post.
I feel disappointed for Lemmey though. He'd constantly be told that when Harry and Charlie are out or in bad form then he'd get a game if he's performing, and yet here we are.
He on the AFL list - not the VFL list.
He needs to play and get the full experience.
