He's young and he will improve, especially as the team improves and implements the basic better. There's a bit there to work with Carroll.

That being said.. awareness is one thing that isn't easy to teach. You either have it naturally or you don't so that is a fair concern in my opinion.

But also unrelated to Carroll.. how our players miss shots so badly from 20 metres out is diabolical. I can understanding missing by maybe 1 metre either side of the goal post but to nearly kick out on the full is legitimately horrendous. My school footy team was kicking far better at goal. Routine. Walk in a straight line. There's no excuse to miss that badly from that close.

The effort has been better, particularly from the big 3. Cripps looks just about back to his best, Curnow is at least playing hard, and Weiters perhaps not at his best has looked decent enough.

Curnow just has to finish. The same could be said of the team, we've missed easy shots. 6.7 may not look horrible, but when you consider the easy shots missed the 7 is bad.

I'm not going to decide on his future based on getting caught with the ball a couple of times. There is so much panic and poor skills around him. It's hard not to rub off.
