Perhaps Cox takes more than his usual share of the ruckwork this week and Cameron spends more time forward, to cover the loss of Mihocek
According to last weeks presser Cameron had something going on with his shoulder exiting last weeks game so I’d suggest this is spot on against a bigger ruck in Witts.

Lippa has become a very important cog this season so if he's needing the refresher, which clearly they think he is, then great - glad that's happening.

Checkers always looks like he could handle a refresher - the way he plays and bangs up his body every week. Just unfortunately Westy isn't available or he may have had another call up.

Cox in - I believe it's three pronged and a good move by the selectors;
1) He can try to keep Mac Andrew away from McStay, or otherwise, can hopefully clunk a few himself. If anyone will get under Andrew's skin, it'll be Big Mase!
2) He can do all the ruck chop outs, which will allow McStay to stay forward all night where we need him more.
3) He can do extra ruck work if needed and can allow for a reprieve for Cameron - a form of managing his minutes perhaps.

Roan vs Ed - bad time for Ed to have got sick it seems - he was starting to really cement himself, but based on that singular game and small sample from Roan, I understand them giving him another go. Roan was super impressive in his debut. Have to test if it wasn't a fluke.

Good problems we have - as players come back, undeserving players are losing their spot to make way - what incredible depth we have. Time to make hay while the sun shines because we'll likely lose some of those really decent fringe players who would walk into the best 23 in several other clubs.

Stoked Shoota is back - huge part of our F50 pressure is returning!

Parker has plenty of time ahead of him. Right now if finals started next week and you had to decide out of Markov and Parker I'm putting more trust in Markov, for now at least.
Markov will be delisted at years end

Parker will go on and have very nice career for us

You might be right, but Oleg still may be ahead now in terms of likely contribution in this game and as defensive depth to call on in the finals - in which case playing Oleg is the better option.

Someone mentioned weather a few pages back. Doesn't look like it'll be a factor? I'm no expert on weather let alone Queensland weather, but it's only forecast to be 21 today which will drop down to about 14 by match time. Not an breath of wind, either.

Gold Coast are a different story as this is their first home night game, but Brisbane feel they have an advantage if it gets cold enough for the dew to kick in - as the opposition just aren't expecting the ball to suddenly become slippery after a beautiful sunny day.

Just to Cliffy Claven you, “Nahm, the dew point is more about relative humidity than temperature alone”.

I think one reason for Cox's inclusion is so that DC can drop back inside defensive 50 to help counter the GC talls.
DC does that anyway, but maybe more of that this week.

Sunny and cold today, haha. Nerang station next to stadium, expected temperature during game 13-12 degrees. Main issue will be dew on grass typical for this time of year in evening.

Hopefully, a good game. Obviously, with Ballard and Collins out Suns fans are worried about KPDs performance - Mac and Adams.

Enjoy.

Adams looked very suspect against Essendon. The pies midfield should be going to his opponent all night

Special mention to David Swallow returning to the Suns tonight. Will be playing his 246th game without a final. An all-time record - will only be broken if the Suns make the 8 this year and he plays.

That should bring the crowds in.

McRae said that Lipinsky only just got up for last game and that he was sore beforehand.

Wonder if Andrew taunts him about it

This will be an interesting game, CFC's midfield has been shite for six weeks if not more. The Sun's are a clearance team and with enough firepower forward of centre to take advantage of first use..... It's a shame Frampton is injured!

I will love watching Long (Ben) going about his business, absolute jet! Rioli too, It's funny, I felt a deep repugnance for SMFC as a kid! Good to see Jeffrey's coming through too, another Darwin product.

Like Brisbane Lions in the past, the Suns are fortunate to get first dibs on high end talent from the Territory (Darwin Academy Zone)!

Rosas Jr and Johnston additional Darwin Academy Zone talents.

Go Pies, big game, win this one and hard to lose top 2 finish!
