Question - Why is Duggan the designated defender running off the back of the centre square every time, when it should be McCarthy, e.g. the best ball user in the team?

Positives
Harley Reid. He had fun tonight despite the result. Geez I hope he signs. Can only imagine what he and the team would have performed with Yeo. Will hurt to see him in other colours if he leaves.
Ginbey. He is just so competitive, hates loosing.
Hough. It’s his first year as a mid, looking forward to what he does in 2026
Flynn’s first half
Dewar. Seems to find space in packs. At best he could reach the heights of Wanganeen-Milera, but even if his only half as good he has a long AFL career ahead of him.
Cripps. I’ll get shot down but thought he was good tonight. Mini had him running the entire ground, he was in defence, forward, mid. You can’t deny his work rate

Negatives
Owies - Has not performed in one game since joining us
Disposal across the board, but bombing it into the forward line. Even with Waterman and Oscar playing AA level footy, they’d be hard pressed to take a mark. We need to better distributors of the ball across the ground but particularly kicks inside 50.
Kelly - some of his minimal disposals in the first half were elite kicks, but he just isn’t working hard enough.
Poor shots for goal/mindset- We ‘should’ have been up by 3 or 4 goals in the first qtr, but missed easily gettable shots. Kick those and who knows, but we didn’t.

Mini won't rip a piece of paper up. He's too soft.

Listen to Karl on 6pr talking about how he watches them train and they miss targets but nothing happens.

He explains when he was playing if they missed a target they would have to runn 400m every time.

The club is soft. The club is comfortable and don't give a flying ****.

yeah no club does that anymore, that's not a mini thing

sorry you're right, I know Kelly was brought back in for his elite footballing ability
Thats not even close to what I said bud.

We know it was an experience thing, we know mini is afraid if being too inexperienced.

Kelly gets a two year extension ....FFS.

I am really starting to seriously dislike Clarke Kent.

Got ahead or ourselves.

I bet you the boys were looking at the odds and thinking they were a real chance to win this.

We then shat the bed with missed kicks, poor forward entry and hopeless set shots and then when Tigers got a run on thought....... "**** it, i cant be bothered"

They rolled over and showed their bellies tonight.

Bitterly disappointed in them tonight.
Should've channelled it into belief we can win, but we're not only young, but our seniors are used to losing and are anti clutch. I mostly saw the second half, and effort and skill was down vs recent weeks. But given our diabolical luck it wasn't surprising, as disappointing as it was.

yeah it's scary when age number is small

age number big = better football

we're just back to simmo ball at this point

im not mad at you i just wish these guys would get their heads out of their spreadsheets, watch whats happening on the field, and use their cognitive ability to make a decision

I'm worried we'll lose fans because of this loss, specifically Mr & Mrs Warner, whom everyone knows are huge Eagles supporters and will be 97% of the reason we get Chad Warner in 2027.

Surely that's Kelly done in this team, or any AFL team for the forseeable future.

if you can't put up more than 15D, 2 tackles, 2 clearances against Richmond's midfield, you're not doing it against anyone else either.

5 of those touches came in the 4th when the game was totally buried as well. In the WAFL you might be a leader, in the AFL you're the furthest thing from it.

It’s really is a worry what is your come.

No one at all that follows afl would’ve thought giving Kelly 2 years was a good idea at that stage…… well one or two and they are in charge of rebuilding this team. Scary

Owies, is a complete down hill skier. Get rid for Gross or Long! Absolute momentum killer, can't make distance from 40 out on angle.

Jack Williams needs to he ruck/fwd, get ride of B.Williams
Jack Williams didn’t touch it tonight before being unceremoniously subbed out and barely touched it last week. Shows promise but not enough at this stage to trust with ruck duties.

Hutchinson getting off lightly here. It was his worst game for the club. The amount of times he managed to get himself in no mans land on the wing was remarkable. He constantly made the wrong choice on when to close down and when to run back and cut off the option. He was a human witches hat. Richmond just bypassed him like he was nothing

Needs to spend the rest of the year in the WAFL going back to a HF role

Sports science guys would never left these soft primadonnas do that now!!!

Also probably unrelated but Karl played 8 games total after he turned 25.

Sadly hes not making the most of his opportunity.

Can see him getting delisted next year.

Yeah but boy oh boy could he smash out a lap around the oval like you wouldn't believe!
