I was listening to the radio call. The screams when NAS took that mark was awesome. If you can find the radio calls as well that would be great.
This guy usually puts up the ABC radio call. But it's not there yet.

Just put those final minutes on replay.

We have one of the best players in the competition for the last 20 years in NWM

Smokey for the brownlow, if I might suggest.
$50k coming my way if he salutes. Going to come home with a wet sail. This four week block (Melb included) was going to be huge.

3/12 secured. ge 12/12 and he might just pull it off

So much to analyse from those final 2 minutes.

Windy: sad thing about when someone like Nas does GOAT things is that often other efforts arent noticed. Lays a tackle, wins the ball and forces it out of bounds instead of a loose handball in the back pocket. Wins ball from throw in and scrubs it forward. Now is the real kicker, just watch his work from the next throw in when he is lining up on Viney. Leaves Viney (and Petracca who didn't have an opponent) for dead wirh another clearance to get it to Wood. Huge, absolutely huge from the kid!

Wood: Also laid the tackle (with Windy) in that back pocket. Then the link with Windy to hit Nas, classy after was beaten at the start of the game.

Hastie: the pressure on the wing and composure not to give away a free was excellent. Nearly got it to Hall running past but still forced the throw in leading to the following play. He is starting to have an aerial presence about him too which will come more and more in time.

Hammer: involved in a couple of marking/ruck contests can't be ignored. Not perfect disposal but deserves a mention.

I just wanted to point those guys out. Nas is the hero, but he wouldn't have gotten it without those guys. Windhager especially was enormous and deserves more love after tagging and having a super physical match up on Pickett for three quarters.

Yesterday's comeback was one of the most remarkable wins I have ever witnessed.
Fantastic performance Saints.
As for Nas, I can't remember a player on our list who has emerged like him.
If he improves at this rate, who knows what he'll be like at 26-28 years of age?
Superb!

I feel it would be wrong of me not to comment on the loldees superstar players from the final minute of two.

Oliver: how, just how does a bloke kick it out on the full from 20m directly in front?

Viney: I'm glad the camera zoned in on him just before that throw in. He was done, Windy knew it. How Windy got so much separation is incredible, but its also a big cross against Viney if you ask me. Why he was lining up directly on the wing when Ro restarted the play is beyond me. Zero game sense and hilarious to see.

Petracca: as if unimpressed man from the cricket isn't the best meme of all time. Petracca has just given us a carbon copy of it. He was literally by himself in that throw in, but didn't move and just jogged when Windy broke through.

Finally, not sure who the Dees player was but when Nas took the mark running back with the flight he squibbed it. Stayed back, go the punch mate, make a contest, do anything to bring that ball to ground.

We won it, but man LOLdees did bugger all to try to save it.

What did you think of the tactical chess game the coaches played?

Even the ‘minor moves’?

I think they put Hunter to half-back flank for instance- and it worked.
First time that RL and co have truly nailed it this year.

Remember the smashing we copped vs Dogs yet he kept Windy on Bont, well not this time - game winning move at 3/4 time to drop the tag.

Hall to the midfield was genius. Even Steele going up forward and snagging one worked.

Use of Nas was great, rotated well between midfield and hbf. Then up forward was a master-stroke.

Clark had a huge influence in the last. Timing of Hammer down back also great. Tauru up forward gave us something when Coops was struggling.

Hand was forced with Collard injury, but the two times we've copped an early injury has meant Hastie didn't get subbed. Both times he's looked average then come up with great 4th quarter efforts.

Also, while the scoring profile isn't the same as last year, our best defensive and offensive quarter is the final quarter.

Yesterday had quite a bit to do with fitness.
Nas just never looks puffed or sweaty.
The coolest cucumber there is.

Is that from last night? Unreal.
Is that from post game? Ross said they had a family function or something in his presser last night.
I would imagine it is.
A friend just forwarded it to me. And yes I think they did have a function after the game.
Would have been a wake if we'd lost that!

This champion cannot leave …
Nas on Ross’s shoulders …. 😍

Hahaha, this and the footage from the coaches box, then he rocks up to the post-game presser..

Report: Was it always going to be Nas?

Ross: I don't understand the question??? What??? HHmmm???????????????????

Report: To be the match winner for you after that massive comeback.

Ross Ohhhh yeah loooook, we moved him in and out of the midfield, obviously his last quarter was pretty special, thought his 1st quarter was pretty good, but it's not a strongest link game.

campaigner just say it, he played a superstar final quarter, he's a top 3 player in the comp now.

Yeah I'm with you man. I don't even know how to rate him. Like who do you compare him to??? Some say McLeod but he has more forward chops. Some say Winmar but he is a bit taller and a definitely a better defender than Windy. I reckon he's got a bit of Bont about him for sure. Also, and I know this is weird, but like Jason Gram if he was given super powers and Robert Harvey's shimmy
stephen hill for me. but a much better version.
in a team which had fyfe, lachie neale, mundy. it was always hill who got tagged.

Couple of big learnings from that final quarter and press conference.

I think the club is aware on how much more work this young group has to go. But the ceiling is massive.

Brad Hill is not a hbf but the Clark move worked. Hill could play a half fwd rule as he finishes his career. Very smart inside 50. We have midfield and wing replacements long term for him.

The viking is a natural fwd but can play both end. His running patterns are nearly the best at the club already, knows how to create space for either himself or others.

We need to get more put of our high half fwds when hall is in the mids. Our 45degree kicks are the right calls but we just are not hitting them at a high enough level. It will come.

AFL is still a mess in so many ways but some days are good.
hill played a game for freo at half forward flank. freo always had an abundance of midfielders in the late ross lyon years. freo were missing a lot of our forward line. a young darcy played as the only tall forward.
hill kicked 3.2. and had 30 possessions. was a big reason we beat the 1st on the ladder geelong.
very adept at getting up and back. got involved in a lot of link u play. gave a lot of pressure acts. not many tackles.

my feeling was he would be an awesome half forward flank. but needs to be paired with a ferocious tackler. in that case he is a real contributor to winning football.

Phenomenal win .... tanked for 3 quarters and then just went fk it and flicked a bad arse switch and went full pumpa

Nas is a freak but he wasnt the only hero

Loved Boxhead's game when he came on and Windy Hall Clark Wood just went to another level

Hopefully this gives the club / playing group a huge confidence boost with an eye to the future

Cherry on top was that I whacked $20 on us at HT at 10-1 .... my bro also wanted to leave at 3/4 time but I talked him out it

Maybe this has already been mentioned, but something that really stood out after watching the last few minutes again.... when Nas took the hanger and kicked the goal to equalise, everyone wanted to celebrate... everyone except Nas. It was clear he still had a job to do. It was clear he wanted to win. Unbelievable focus for a young guy. F*cking impressive.
Best he keep well away from Fun Boy Jase then 😉
