I was banned by the moderators earlier in the year for suggesting the Bobby Hill situation will hurt us. Good to see I wasn't wrong and the moderators (Anzac Day) got trigger happy and failed to read the room.

There is not way you can have McCreery and Hill out of the forward line most weeks and expect to be competitive with our style of play.

Secondly, too much stuffing around by MaCrae with selection. Too many players rested / changed week in and week out - which has invariably resulted in a loss of form. Predictable and silly.

Watching from level 4, its incredible how slow we look. They're leading our players to the ball in every contest.

It’s really not surprising when we name a side with all of Pendles, Mitchell, Long, Sidey and Lipinski as mids/flankers. In what universe was that ever going to work?

Yeah, that's a legitimate argument. We can't be certain though. Sometimes good decisions havre bad results and bad decisions end up with good results.

In this case, I think it was the players we've had out that really hurt us. Howe, McCreery, Hill, De Goey -- pace and power and talent. Our lesser players were exposed.

Also the training load that Moore and Fly have confirmed. We are not speculating about it as we did in 2023.

We are flat as a tack.

Over-rate your ability, flirt with your form and pay the price. I didn't see this performance coming, I really thought we would click back into gear now that we HAVE to win, but it seems as though our poor month of footy was indeed reflective of something far more serious. Apathy!

Maybe the '14 wins' was emphasised so much that they thought they could cruise to a top 2 position.
