At 3 I think it’s gotta be Sharp. It’s a shame he’s from Adelaide but he’s the next best, it seems, after CDT and Duursma.

Does seem to be a thin draft, outside of Sharp the only bonafide mids are all academy.

Sadly don’t see a world where we get CDT.

Crows 15th last year was like our 2016. They are about where i expected them to be in their rebuild. just wasn't linear

He's just a salty Cats supporter. There are Geelong supporters who look at our dynasty and know that 2 or possibly all 3 would have been theirs if it wasn't for us getting in their way.

We defeated them in 2017 QF making their run the the Grand Final harder.

We defeated them in the Preliminary final in 2019 after being well behind at half time ( Dusty and Lynch rising in the second half won us that game).

And of course we defeated them in the 2020 GF after they had us on the ropes at half time and had another come from behind victory.

Looking at it this way I can see how they are salty over our Dynasty.

I don’t know a lot about the draftees in this draft, I just know that none of them are wetting the whistle as much as you would like.

If the recruiters thought it was a good idea, I would fully support trading out 2 and 3 to get 4 picks in the top 20. My eyes are currently on Gold Coasts picks 6 and 12, and Carlton’s TDK compo + possibly Sydney’s first if they get it in a trade for Curnow.

Both clubs have reason to get up the order to get an extra pick before they get bids. Harry Dean looks a good chance to go before the picks Carlton will potentially hold.

If we did land these picks I’d be looking at the likes of Grlj (if still there at our first pick), NHH, Cumming, Greeves, Dovaston or even Ludowyke.

The logic for taking 4 if you can get guys like these, or other ones our recruiters like, is that 4 picks with question marks are better than 2 picks with question marks. Ludowyke is an interesting one for me because he has dropped off this year but he is very young draftee. We don’t need another KPF but you can always trade them out later.

Get what your saying. You could nearly throw a blanket over the entire 1st rnd and come out the other side as equals.
