I could see Dyson Sharp falling outside of the top 10

Wonder if we'd do 4 for 9 and 10 (Assuming Carlton get Sydney's 1st + F1 for Curnow)

I'd want even more tbh. Maybe upgrade our F3 to Carlton's F2 as well. Their F2 isnt able to be used for matching Walker anyway since you can only use 2 picks to match bids from next year onwards, and Carlton would have their own 1st + Sydney's.

It doesn't automatically work that there is a clear deliniation in talent from pick to pick .

That is true but if you look at average games played at every pick (apart from the cursed pick 6) it’s quite clear thst the higher up the order you are the better career you’ll get, particularly at the pointy end.

True but every draft is different. This year has an even spread across the first round.

I know, but it is what it is. Although I don’t think it would be too hard to get Swans or GCS on the hook considering what they are prepared to pay and trade for Curnow

Because the players from pick 5 to pick 15 are about the same or just a little worse than picks 3 and 4 this year

Yes when he’s a free agent and should come at zero draft cost. We wouldn’t offer that much if he wasn’t a free agent.

So WCE have a choice then, take him as a Free Agent and dilute compo for Allen, or give them 16, simple choice really
