Re: 'Alleged' rumours resurfacing ...

Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Thanks all!

Ainsworth

Would immediately slot in on HFF and ease the pain of losing Elijah.

Given that it's likely a salary dump. I am hopeful that we can get it done for some pick upgrades to help the Suns get all their academy kids (they have 2 in the top 10 but at least 1 other in the top 30)

Last thing the Pies need is a 28 year old inside mid - their list is rapidly approaching a cliff and they have 2 players under 25 that have managed to get to 50 games - they need to be finding draft picks.
They don’t have any. They’re desperately trying to keep their window open. Here’s a list of who’s going to be worse in 2026:

Mcstay
Elliott
Hill
Pendlebury
Sidebottom
Cameron
Cox - gone
Mihocek - gone
WHE - gone
Howe
Membrey
Mitchell

That’s a huge list

All for going after Ainsworth. Again, we’ve been crying for half forwards for bloody years. You cannot keep relying on midfield rotations at half forward or trying to make shift them. They are instrumental to making a forward line function and playing to a system.

Say it every year we need them. Id be so pleased to see us address this.

No sorry. I’m travelling through Vietnam at moment and messages are spasmodic. Seems to be we are very busy

I will now imagine all of your posts with Fortunate Son in the background

I’d take Ainsworth over Hayward

Travelling through Vietnam and still finding the time to share the mail while eating pho and banh mi (I'm assuming) is legendary stuff. Thank you, we all appreciate it

I mean I’d absolutely have both if Hayward was involved in any Curnow deal and that’s where the spoken about deal with the two firsts was going. Ainsworth is a good starting place and idea to finally address a glaring weakness we have had in our side for over 10 years now.

Absolute bullshit if Sydney don't want to include Hayward in any trade...

What is with these idiotic clubs wanting to target a gun key forward with 4 years remaining on his contract, yet don't want to lose anything?

Not how it works morons... you're gonna have to pay up if you want him, we aren't letting him go for a pack of chips.

There will simply be no deal on Charlie if the offer is not a massive win for us imo

Soapy reading his messages about Carlton's trade period:

I honestly think unless Swans really give us something to think about, I'm talking Papley, Hayward & 1R and F1R then NO DEAL!

Charlie is an absolute needle mover and we can always wait until next year to cash in on him at a higher price...

Like SOS did with Gibbs those years back...

An A Grader for an A Grader, perhaps in a position where you have depth to cover that A Grader.

What is so hard for clubs to understand about that?

This! Apparently(can’t remember who said it) but we are wanting papley as part of the deal. I wouldn’t be surprised if his name gets thrown up again as being potentially part of the deal

For one - Papley ain’t what he used to be & is surely the wrong age profile for us.
