With Bailey brennan and Jordy Motton departing the league, who would be the best young players going into season 2026?

Pimp were meant to be active according to 1-2 on here. some of the offers being thrown out there for potential signings of players/landed players are absurd. Money talks, and you need the tease of the $ to get them across, but they would want to produce.
Pimp don’t have the cash. Not a knock against them just the reality. They do well with what they can offer imo

big rumours out of harrow balmoral🚨
will burbury going to horsham demons with brait headon and matt jones

EA looked to have picked up a few handy players although difficult to know what sort of standard league they come from

jeez, difficult to sustain that. Did they approach HB for a merge and got knocked back or is that a rumour?
I heard that too...I think it was a genuine approach but knocked back by HB. Kinda shocking to think about it ... Edenhope have had some great teams in the past & produced from great footballers. Good luck to them. The district league needs them to be strong IMO (or at least stronger!). I heard that same story about guys doubling-up . That's unsustainable.

If Im thinking right Phil Carman was an Edenhope product.

Yep, before he was at Norwood (pre-Collingwood). He came from Edenhope. He was a hot headed bugger even as a kid  There's a classic story of him giving away a free kick in the dying stages of a GF (maybe even after the siren) against arch-rival Apsley that cost them the game. This was back in the old Kowree-Naracoorte days. Long time ago! No denying that he was handy though.

Kees promising the world again to potential recruits and delivering an atlas.Gunn brothers didn’t go back ect
Who were the potential recruits? And the Etc ? Word on the street is jasper now telling everyone that if he knew smith was heading back he would have ? Oh well time will tell

I had heard Ben millers name thrown around as well as some SA guys but I dont have names. Also from what I got told it was all in or none. Would’ve thought gunn wouldve known about smith going there. everyone else did.

Pretty sure smith and the Gunns are friends so surley jasper would’ve known he was going over to Kalkee, demons probably threw Jasper some $$ he couldn’t refuse as he did win their bnf

Ahhh yep , that sounds a bit more realistic !! Any other recruitment news ? Not many floating around , Laharum early news but not much since , Kalkee a couple , E\A a couple ? Anything else ?

They will need 10+. They are coming from a different stratosphere. Great they have got some in the door but from limited vision of last years game Christ they were bad.

Any truth to it that the fixture is coming out next week and it’s a later start due to Easter which means a later finish than this years? Possibly by an extra week.

As for the activity, minimal. Have said a few times some clubs will spend but the gap hasn’t exactly been closed by anyone really has it trying to crack in

good to see E/A trying to change the narrative, for them at least, it won't impact the ladder but it will make them mildly more competitive,

yeah, I believe fixture out shortly, teams have voted on the preferred format so should be announced soon

possibly some action happening in places, noting of any substance being announced, apart from the 2 to Laharum early and smith to Kalkee, I thought pimp may have got others, but seem just to be announcing re-signings of locals :/. I can't see Rup coming ahead in leaps and bounds. hopefully, they can find some spark!!! Natimuk pretty quiet also, if you had recruits you would announce yeah? try and create some interest?? and a little flow on effect?

Swifts obviously losing a few , that would create a bit of a hole for them , do we think they will still think they feature in the top half of the ladder ??

Kalkee finished bottom 2, But Comfortably beat E/A, Rup, T/L and Natimuk I see they've announced 3 new, and I'm hearing another announced late in week?

T/L early announcement of Roberts, but I'm hearing a few gone, and bates in, may finish a similar position

H/B and Harrow quiet , but also both have solid lists

Everyone has an excuse why things don't work out haha. Demons looks to be a better place to be than kalkee if Jasper is wanting to win some games.

So assuming then due to an earlier Easter than means it’ll be starting the week after with a later finish? Or same finish and similar start? It’s rough a side having a bye every week although good for those who have travelling players that get a break

Laharum seemed to have added quality from multiple leagues. I like the kees additions think they obviously needed it but it’s really good to see a side down the ladder trying to make their mark. The top sides are quality but hopefully there’s less beltings than previous years which makes for a more even and enjoyable season.

HB don’t need much. Are very very solid.

Sorry mate but Horsham demons are bloody rubbish especially in the stronger Wimmera league. They will be absolutely shocking again.

Maybe he just wants to spend a few more years in a stronger league while he’s in his prime. Horsham are building and you can’t keep a club tbat strong on the bottom for long.

Yeah but I don’t see how they are building at all. Won a single game last year. Him and mates could make a difference somewhere else. Horsham won’t climb the ranks anytime soon in Wimmera.

Think they will be pretty stacked in a few years, have a lot of 17-20 year olds playing seniors every week which will be huge for their development. If they can bring back a few locals to the club who are guns they will be a force
