Stacked in a few years? The 17-20 year olds walk out on the Demons and Saints for $300-$500 a game getting offered to them by District league clubs. 5-10 years ago they had players who knocked that money back to be apart of something, success and develop. now you got blokes getting dropped and cracking the shits with District league clubs telling them they're superstars. nasty cycle at the moment. but agree on the Jasper better off playing his prime in WFL rather than going back to kalkee on promises and getting burnt again

yeah, absolutely right with the young blokes, would be great to see a group stay together and hunt success rather than dollars, most don't like the hard work to build to something these days

Yeah Right, that's a big get if true!!!!! Smith, Burdett, Walter, Harris ( Back From Bell Park ?? ) 4 pretty big inclusions, Burdett will be more than handy as a small forward pinch hit in the mid!! they will rise dramatically , top 4 maybe ??? good to see them building , adds some interest to the next few years !!
 
Come on now Jacob Harris has played 2s for 2 years in a deadset average competition. Will be no big inclusion compared to other clubs round the league.
Walter if true is a great get. Will kick more at kees than he did at NQ.

burdett has to be 40 plus and hasn't played for three years. not sure that you can expect him to play much of a role [playing. good get as coach though.

How is it a deadset average competition? Yes he has been playing 2s but the 2s in the GFL would be better than the seniors down here

If you’re a massive signing and big get as a 2s player then that’s staggering to me. Senior footy against the good sides in this comp is still miles clear.
I get that the bottom sides in this league are woeful, but there is a gap between 2s and 1s in all leagues

Also GFL, isn’t what it was. It’s still good but was the absolute pinnacle pre Covid

Mate you have no idea. Any half decent ressies players for the GFL clubs (excluding the shit ones;North Shore, Lara, St Albans) would be good seniors in this league. Calling it a dead set average competition is laughable it’s probably the strongest outside Melbourne. The strong reserves there would beat harrow.

Twos footy is average wherever you go mate. the GFL is strong, isnt what it was. used to be a top 3 league in vic. it has now dropped a little below that. if you believe a 2s side would beat a senior side of HB when some of them are on a very good wicket, i have another thing coming for you. would be a comfortable win. the bottom teams in HDFNL different story

Not true really... Kee's had that Seth Tomlinson & Matt Rollo come from Bell park twos last year. and they sucked. Geelong Reserves is not competitive like it was pre 2019. That's why they take money to come into our league because they don't get paid that sort of money in Geelong. Wimmera league guys in reserves do the same thing... take the money and still be bottom 10 players in each side. Tanner smith is a " gun" signing though.

I think if you look at Tomlinson and Rollo, they are a little different, they both came as mates of Thomas that played for Kalkee and travelled together, Kalkee did that to add some experience knowing exactly what they were getting. Tomlinson hadn't played for 3 years before hand and Rollo is on the back end of his footy, so I wouldn't really judge the GFL standard off those Two

Jye Walter and Tanner Smith gonna be dangerous up forward together next year with burdett at their feet
 
If Ben miller did go to kalkee where would they be expected to finish? At the moment with current signings surley they could slide into 5th at least?
