We won't be taking Taylor at pick 3.
Might get him at pick 7 or 8 though.

He was a small forward. Was a late bolter after elite combine testing.Tbh I can't remember what position(s) Daniel played in his draft year?

I just did the draft simulator and really like this outcome for us:
Trade 3 with Melbourne for 7 and Gold Coasts future first. Later futures may be required as part of this but too hard to predict.
Trade Gold coasts future first and 38 for Carlton’s first pick this year and something later on next year. Gold coasts first would be sought after by Carlton to help them get Cody Walker.
Then the draft goes like this:
1- WC - Duursma
2- GC Uwland
3- WC CDT
4 - GC Patterson
5 - Bris Annable
6- Melb Robey
7 - Rich X Taylor (with a choice of cumming or sharp if we went that way instead)
8- Carl - Dean
9 - Ess - Sharp
10 - Ess - Cumming
11 - Rich - Grlj
12- Melb - Nairn
13 - Rich - Philipou
Get Kellaway later on.

I’m not sure.If he was bid on say essnedons end of first round compo pick would that be classified as 1st round or 2nd round deficit?
Bullshit. Take CDT.In that scenario we take Robey and dangle the CDT carrot.

That’s crap. 3 players (Dursma, CDT & Robey) standout above the rest. So you want to ignore getting one for speculative picks.I just did the draft simulator and really like this outcome for us:

If they do that, then I guess it demonstrates the feelings about what will be available for us.what is this obsession with burning top 5 picks on a third defender?
I thought it was a total crock, but people are actually putting money behind it..
I'm so depressed now.
If Robey is that far above the three we picked then fair enough and you wouldn’t do it.That’s crap. 3 players (Dursma, CDT & Robey) standout above the rest. So you want to ignore getting one for speculative picks.
Because Twomeny never said he wasWhy have I never heard of anyone talking about Nairn?
Even though people keep throwing around trade-down scenarios, the fact is the 3 mentioned are by general consensus the top 3 talents in the draft. It does not mean with hindsight that they’ll be top 3 but Richmond has a distinct lack of star footballers and we need to select those that are deemed to have the most upside. For us that will be CDT or Robey. Whoever WC overlook. If Robey is that far above the three we picked then fair enough and you wouldn’t do it.
I’m just not sure our recruiters see it that way and if they have shown a lot of interest in Philipou as reported there may be something in it.
Quick skillful players e.g Daicos brothers and Merrett are as valuable as anyone they way the game is played at the moment so if the recruiters saw Grlj and Philipou as having potential to be in the same mould as those guys I’m not sure it’s that speculative.
Lalor, Smillie, Mcaulife,Hotton, Grlj, Philipou looks pretty exciting to me on top of what we’d bring in next year.
He also plays in a league stuck behind a paywall.Because Twomeny never said he was
99% of footy forums and even media use his info as gospel

Looks an interesting prospect but also seems a bit full of himself. And whether him divulging our interest in him would be appreciated, I don’t know.Is he a reach at pick 8 though? Seems to me to be one of the few players (mids) that have speed, agility, marking power and is dual sided, has positional flexibility too. Reckon he projects as one of the top prospects and maybe missing a chance at the Champs is why he's rated in the teens.
Maybe part of Toce's legacy, he certainly would have been scoped as the 15yo younger brother of Mattaes at the time.
Twoomey has been pretty certain that we take CDT at 3 if he gets past WCE100%
That hint the other day from a poster saying our wish list looks a hell of a lot different to what the general consensus is has me thinking Jevan is right up there. I urge you to watch his youtube highlights and tell me what would be an issue with taking him early ?
Sam Allen should be firmly in our sights with our pick in the 30s
Twoomey has been pretty certain that we take CDT at 3 if he gets past WCE
At the moment he is not invited to draft night so he ain't going in the top 10. If he scores a late invite next week then look out.He does look quite good.
Although, if we are so keen on him, why wouldn't we trade that pick back into the teens to get him, or someone similiar with an extra future 1st or something decent back. A top 5 pick is extremely valuable.
When the general consensus is that Jevan's draft range is pick 15-25. It would be more of a reach than Reece Conca.
