Any talk of easy fixtures makes me very uncomfortable.
But we like it when you feel uncomfortable!

Can someone explain how we get him?

If he ends up at no 1, won't the last team pick him regardless?
He will either go 1 or 2 (depending on Carlton's father son Walker) - pick 1 = 3000 points & pick 2 = 2481 points.
points in 2024 went to pick 73. From 2025 onwards (due to the Saints & Freo crying about the process) the points will be reduced and go only to pick 54.
Also, the discount for matching a bid went from 20% to 10%.
A team could also go into debt for the following year.

The plan would use the 2026 picks and not use any 2027 picks (as we have Pilot, Salopek & Rodan coming maybe coming in 2027).

So, the last place team (say west coast) put a bid on him we would have to match 3000 points minus 10% discount (300 points) so we would need 2700 points

If the 2nd last team (say Richmond) put a bid on him we would have to match 2481 points minus 10% discount (248pts), so we would need 2233 points

Currently we have
1st round pick
2nd round pick
2nd round pick (Carlton's)
3rd round pick
4th round pick (maybe - if this pick is before pick 54)

with our first-round pick 1 & 2x second round picks we could have enough to match but we will need to work out where these 3 top picks will finish at the end of the year or if we have to get more points by trading a player out

Found old mate.

‘If he wasnt good at football a football team wouldn’t want to try and get him to play with them

i reckon a politician could take this tweet to parliament and use it as justification for people requiring a license to use the internet and it’d pass unanimously

Port this, Port that. Does it not occur to them Dougie desperately wants to play for Port and his father, former Port player Stuart Cochrane desperately wants him to play for Port.

The extensive process required the family to provide a Confirmation of Aboriginal Descent certificate to the AFL.
Stuart Cochrane has noted the process was lengthy, compounded by his own health challenges. While aware of the family's Aboriginal history, the process of proving their heritage took longer than expected after he became unwell.
