Believe me, there were many, many days in my primary and secondary education that I wished I didn't.

Though I did have a fantastic view of Botany Bay from the windows of the English/History floor.
That would be quite the draw card.

There is a knack to not going to school. Not everyone acquires it. The knack basically lies in knowing exactly where the entrance doors are to the school and then mastering the art of not going through them.

That's a very Adams/Pratchett way of looking at things.

I approve.

I achieved the rare feat of being at school but not going to school. We had two maths teachers in year 9 (Form 3) and I convinced each of them that I was in the other class. Spent the entire term holed up in the dunnies reading a book during maths periods.

Only got found out when I took my report card home and Mum phoned the school to find out why I didn't have a maths mark.

Did you drink the beer?
I drank beer yes. Did I drink the specific beer? No. I did clean elements of it off the inside of the stove. And the outside. And the walls a bit and definitely the floor. I decided to let the ceiling look after itself

A quick tip to the youth: don't trip while playing darts.

You don't know which pink elephant you'll hit.
A quick tip to the married - never ask your wife what's for dinner while she's mowing the lawn.

Be sure your sins will find you out. Kinda reminds me of the Irish golfer, who kept cheating by placing a number on the score sheet that represented 1 less than what he actually got.

He remained undetected, until 1 day when he registered a hole in 1, and wrote down zero.

Someone please say something engaging.

I’ve been dragged down a hideous wormhole of under-appreciated Australian bands and their music (frankly I can see strong reasons why some of this crap never became widely appreciated). Some of the lesser known “head” bands of the early 70s was a particularly promising vein of enquiry. I can only hope that now I’ve done the right thing and listened, it’s a one and done deal

Within the last year or two, I learned about a IMO great collection of lost bands, similar to the (in)famous Nuggets collections:

Plenty of gems therein, sharing some possible.

One noteworthy difference between these Brown Acid releases and most others in this vein is that the producers get releases from and compensate the original artists for their tunes.
