Slayer - Live at the Ritz 86. Picked up a boot lp which I’m certain has been done locally. Decent sound but need to crank it a bit. Also got live in France 96. That has better sound and even comes with a laminated inner sleeve. John Dette drumming on that one.

Yeah just saw that. I don't mind them, Among the Living is their best album by a fair way IMO, have seen them lots at festivals etc, good fun but I have to prioritise a lot more these days so no from me.
yeah, i agree that they are good fun. To see them for a 4th or 5th time though, is far from a priority for me. It is a big wait and see for me and i most likely wont go but i know id still have fun seeing them.

Fistful for me but enjoy first four.

Live Nation are the promoters. Interesting.

As an Anthrax fan I find Festival Hall/$180 ridiculous expectations. I just don't think they're that big/good for those types of numbers. I've seen with both Joey and John so not particularly excited about a Festival Hall show next year.

Darkthrone - Transilvanian Hunger, not really my go just checking it out, god these black metal albums sound like they were recorded on someone's phone haha (I think that's kind of the idea though)

Their best black metal album imo is A Blaze in the Northern Sky. Got it upon release and still enjoy it. Coin toss with Soulside Journey as to their best album imo. They played death metal on SJ. TH has no balls - don’t mind it but rarely reach for it. I also blame it for a lot of shit in black metal (been recycled ad nauseam). Ulver did a similar album to TH called Nattens Madrigal which is probably better.

I'll give that a go next then, my guitar teacher had a Darkthrone tshirt on last lesson so wanted to check em out a bit.

Give Under A Funeral Moon a spin.

You might want to avoid the French LLN bands then...their production makes Darkthrone sound like Taylor Swift.
