Nice of ShaunDuggan to make an appearance at the Wazza Awards Night ceremony.

Congrats to ShaunDuggan and Barrybran on your inductions into the HoF :beercheers:

And an extra special congrats to The Filth Wizard on his elevation to God-Status immortal. A just reward for the league's most loved full forward. :beercheers:

Firstly I have to give my congratulations again to ShaunDuggan and Barrybran, what a wonderful two to bring into the HOF this season.

Secondly, ah ****. I’m going to read that post again and again. It’s a special feeling being in this place and I don’t know if I’ve felt that more than seeing this group of peers I’ve bantered and led and laughed with for so long speak so kindly of me. I am wordless as much as I can be. Tarkyn_24 that was an incredible journey to start all that followed I truly appreciate.

I think even in my first season I eyeballed the hall of fame, playing with legends like Boncer, LJ and Pie. It was filled with guys that made the game what it is, those that commanded some respect. I was thrilled to get in and I think you can see on the list of players in there today it is the best of the best.

To be elevated above that group is my biggest achievement and honour in this league to date. The immortals are the godfathers of this league, all built into the history of the Sweet FA so I could not be more pleased to be a part of that. And even if it took another ten years to get there I’d still make this long and soppy post. Thank you.

Shit hot crop of inductees & elevatee this year 👏

ShaunDuggan - Duggs, love your work my friend and agree with the general sentiment this one's been long overdue, congratulations man 👍

Barrybran - Surprised it took this long. Been an absolute pleasure to share every step of our careers together as fellow S26ers, one of my absolute all-time favourites and one of the strongest and most multi-faceted contributors I've had the privilege of working with behind the scenes. 👏

The Filth Wizard - Another one that's been inevitable and some time in coming, but they don't give these away lightly. Such a pleasure to enjoy this elevation as teammates, your impact on the league has been immense and your legacy is deservedly rewarded and recognised tonight. 🙏

Bravo Gralin, Tarkyn_24, The Filth Wizard and the other HOF contributors for pulling this together. :thumbsu:

Congratulations to The Filth Wizard on your immortal elevation , and ShaunDuggan and Barrybran on your inclusions

I genuinely thought Filth was already an immortal prior to today and I doubt I was alone - it shows how overdue that particular choice was .

Thank you to everyone who helped put this together too

Barrybran and ShaunDuggan — my heartfelt congratulations to you both on your richly deserved inductions into the Hall of Fame. Two truly outstanding and class additions. So well earned.

The Filth Wizard — by now just about everything that needs to be said has probably been said multiple times over, but I couldn’t let this moment pass without adding my own two or three cents worth.

When I first stepped into the league back in S23, it was under your leadership at the Hawks. I still remember that feeling as a newcomer, excitement but also complete puzzlement as banter whizzed about that at the time I didn't quite understand. Even then, it was immediately clear why people spoke about you the way they did. The respect you commanded was just there, you and a few others were spoken about differently.

In the seasons since, I’ve watched that respect grow into something much bigger, a genuine legend. The consistency is one thing, but the way you’ve helped shape the culture of the league, it’s the kind of legacy that doesn’t happen by accident, and shouldn't go unrewarded.

To see you recognised as an Immortal just feels right. It’s a proper celebration of someone who’s given so much to this community over so many years.

It’s an honour to share the league with you Filthy, both as a participant under your watch back in the beginning, and as a witness to the remarkable body of work you’ve built since. Congratulations once again, mate. Salute.

Kennedy Parker says:
Fair to say this one has been a long time coming... It brings me great pleasure to induct one of the most underrated legends in SFA history. ShaunDuggan also around these parts as Shaun "Freakin" Duggan, ShaunJuggan, Jobe's best mate finally lands in the Hall of Fame in his private jet.

Duggs is one of the most versatile contributors in the league and as the person who has played games with him than anyone else I've seen him fit in as a valuable part of many teams; adopting the persona from a basketballer to Batman or Seth Rollins to inactive flog that shows up three times per season. In a way, ShaunDuggan is the perfect embodiment of what the SFA is all about. He's able to run a goofy schtick for fun, be confrontational when needed against a bunch of dickheads, offer astute advice when it comes to league matters and lead a group of less experienced players to build up a culture. To be this consistent across over 500 games is no mean feat.

And that is just Duggan as a poster, as a player his legacy measures up to anyone. He started out at the Gumbies and as all successful players do, quickly left the Gumbies to be a part of the Wonders dynasty of S13-S17. Of the premiership captains of that era, he is clearly the most likeable. Then he moved to the Swamprats in one of the greatest trolls of league history - dumping The Jet on spookism and MP_ before doing a pantskyle style retirement. He would later on return to the Swamprats and help build it into a powerhouse.

Later on ShaunDuggan was an integral part of the greatest premiership team of all time - the notoriously dominant Season 30 Gold City Royals. And even when most veterans would retire to a La-Z-Boy Chair, he took on the challenge of rebuilding the Furies. In the process winning a Fred Medal in S38 to have as many Fred Medals as okeydoke7.

Personally, Shaun is a huge contributor to my enjoyment of the SFA concept in my time in the league and it is a wonderful honour to be able to introduce him into the company of SFA elites.

Now as a bit of a nostalgia act, hear is an interaction I enjoyed with the great man in my rookie season over 10 years ago. :)

The Filth Wizard says

When I started in the Sweet FA now 25 seasons ago there was a veritable smorgasbord of high character posters, electric personalities and cool kids. One of these was Eth. Meanwhile at the Wonders they had a mean girl as their captain who passed up the chance to recruit who would be one of the all time greats. Years later, as the bitterness subsided and a lowly ShaunDuggan reached the crossroads, his return to the Wonders fizzling out, it took a great moment of compassion and forgiveness and "Duggs" to his friends (Duggalo Balla to the police) found his home with the soon to be triumphant Royals. He was finally in a place that felt like home and with some wise guidance by his captains we stand here now to congratulate ShaunDuggan on finally making it into the esteemed Hall Of Fame. He has taken a long time to get here and now we can all applaud ShaunDuggan, one of the best blokes in this place.

Congratulations on adding another big achievement to an already amazing list
Well deserved, huge congrats ShaunDuggan 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I have always loved your work as you know from my many recruitment pms (All firm NO btw) 🖕

All-time Rankings
Ranked #9 All Time for beez trophy votes

Barrybran joined the league in season 26 with the Bears winning the EKA and Bears B&F before moving to and then revitalizing the Gumbies. He has modded the board, simmed games, posted matches, generated an amazing amount of fantastic graphics and jumpers that are still in use today and even found time to win a beez while doing all of the above.

The impact Baz has had goes far though many might not realise the depth of it.

The Filth Wizard says:

Barry is from a rare stock in the Sweet FA, one of those that seemingly floats through the joint, effortlessly being just great from the get go. Barrybran had a giant red stamp put on his forehead within his first season that said "future hall of famer' such was the ease of the man to take to the community we have here. He's managed the EKA, Mobbs, Beez, Fred, All SFA (x5), he even has a ****ing Frankston Rover medal. He is a Gumbies legend and steered their ship through some trying times. He is starting his fourth season at the Warriors and to be honest it felt like we recruited him yesterday. Due to my famed low self esteem I sometimes see players walk here and I am jealous of them, a little obsessed with them and Barrybran is a legit crush (I've even stalked him on reddit). Today we will stamp his head in red, "future Immortal". Let me applaud and welcome to the HOF Barrybran, the Thanos of the Sweet FA (not making fun of that freaky chin).

Congratulations Barrybran on joining the Hall of Fame
Also massive congrats to Baz, also much deserved 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I didn’t even realise the depth of your CV until now, even okeydoke7 would be impressed (probably at himself, but still) Well done :)

Congratulations to the seventh Immortal in the history of the Sweet FA The Filth Wizard

Tarkyn_24 says:
There are very few people that have left their fingerprints on this competition to the degree that The Filth Wizard has. From a sim perspective, he has just about achieved everything that can be achieved in the SFA - over 1,000 career goals and a podium Mobbs finish, a premiership for the Southern Dragons (s19) and with the Gold City Royals (s30) and a Fred Medalist. Even more impressive is that he has been a constant, active and quality presence in the league. He’s won two Beez trophies (one of only five players to win on multiple occasions), sits third all time in Beez votes (tallying over 10,000). He’s served the community with great dignity, spending eleven seasons as club captain across three teams, and headed the competition as administrator for four seasons across two stints. The crowning achievement in a glittering CV is the league leading 15 All SFA selections he’s achieved - a coming together of his long term statistical and posting excellence. It is indisputable that Filth is the dominant player in SFA history at combining all of the components of this wonderful competition.

The Filth Wizard started his career at the Southern Dragons in Season 16 and proved his wares both on and off the field, engaging freely in the competition with his new peers and winning the Dragons best and fairest in his inaugural season. By the following season, he was crowned the best poster in the competition, winning the Beez medal. His immediate presence in the league was recognised, and he was promoted to captain of the Dragons for the start of Season 18. Success continued to follow immediately, and within his first 100 SFA games he was able to add premiership captain and club leading goalscorer to his already bursting CV.

Season 21 brought about the first major change in Filth’s career as he left the Dragons for the green and gold of the Hawks, and once again transformed a side with middling activity into a posting powerhouse. He continued to contribute strongly for the Hawks and whilst the sim failed to significantly reward Filth he was still able to fill his bag with personal accolades. At his second club, he served with dignity as captain between season 23 and 24 and was again able to secure a club best and fairest and leading goalscorer awards, and he once again saluted in the Season 24 Beez trophy as well. He also enjoyed his first stint as league administrator, serving a term of three years in which he continued to grow the competition, with his particularly notable knack for inclusion and recruitment. Under Filth’s leadership, a vision for a more active SFA was realised, paving the way for the competition we enjoy today. By the end of season 25, Filth had achieved All SFA status in all but one of his seasons. Even if he’d retired at that point, he would still rank joint second all time in All SFA guenseys. His immediate impact on the contribution was significant.

At the start of Season 27, Filth departed for the third of his four pastures, the Gold City Royals. Personally, it is the club that I feel is most synonymous with Filth as a poster. He was again able to stuff his bag of accolades at his new club, serving as captain immediately from Season 27 through to 32. Famously, in one of the strongest sim performances in history across a season, Filth won his first Fred medal during Season 30, a season in which he also achieved the rare double in saluting with the club goalscoring and best and fairests awards in the same season. It was a season of complete fulfillment, as the Royals won their only premiership in club history. In that one season alone Filth achieved more than many achieve across entire careers.

At the start of Season 35, Filth departed for his fourth club, landing at another expansion club in the Coney Island Warriors. During the ensuing years he has quietly continued to tick over in both posting and playing stakes, surpassing the significant 1,000 goal milestone whilst being a mainstay in the competition. When the competition went through a period of change, Filth provided critical stability by one again serving as administrator for Season 38, and has constantly lent his expertise to the league via contributions to club leadership groups and the broader league via the Committee. It is an incredible legacy of active contribution, and Filth should be proud of what he has been able to do for the competition.

My words alone don’t do justice to Filth’s impact. Some of his most enduring peers have shared their own testimonials of Filth, his impact on the league and on them personally.
The Filth Wizard you are the League. You may not be the driving force anymore but me and likely a few others no doubt would not be playing this silly little game without your leadership and influence in the early days.
If only Danoz was here to see you now 🥰
Congrats and all the accolades and kind words are of course deserved and mostly true. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

On a personal note, thanks mate for all the work you have and continue to put in to keep this place running. Have an 🥚
