    2008 SA Draft Profiles

Glen Dawson: About 185-187cms, 75kgs? Mobile medium forward option, who has kicked a stack of goals in the U/19s for Eagles this year. Has also played a bit of SANFL Reserves football too. Glen has a fantastic leap and agility to compliment a nice pair of dukes. I'd imagine he'd be a difficult...

    Redo the 2004 Draft

Re: 2004 Draft Re-Done Knights accumulates a lot of the ball but when he gets it he runs around in circles then boots it as far as he can. I would have Prismall in front of Knights because of 2 reasons, A) Better ball use, B) Knights wouldnt crack a game in the Geelong midfield.

    Hartlett to CHB

Hartlett either needs to play 1 of 2 roles. 1) CHF - Ratts needs to persist with him for longer than 2 weeks. I remember last year he played about 4 or 5 games in a row and grew in confidence every game until he did his hammy while playing the best quarter he's played against Sydney. You can't...

Phantom Draft!! Quick 16 people needed!!

Anyone for Taylor Hunt? I rate this cat. And I'll guarantee that Phil Davis (North Adelaide) wont last last this long in the real thing.

Phantom Draft!! Quick 16 people needed!!

Great call! :thumbsu: Has slipped under the radar which is very understandable as he only played about a half of footy in the Champs against Vic Metro with a shoulder injury. Looked the goods against Watts early in that game as a defender but can certainly be used up forward and even through...

    2008 Draft Top 10 Predictions

Hunt from Vic Metro is lightning. Not sure of his first name but played well against S.A. with his run from the Half Back Flank, not sure if he's capable as an onballer though? Anyone else got any more info on him?

Indigenous players for the 2008 draft.

All fantastic young players. Throw Yarran into the mix and you've got some great talent. Super impressed with the way Clancie Pearce goes about his business. Attacks the ball with aggression, knows when to create the play off the half back line and good skills too. Stephen Hill is also a...

    Paul Cahill

His contested marking has been a feature so far in the carnival for mine. He, along with Lewis Johnston have been the focal points for S.A. thus far and have really worked well together. Cahill's leap is fantastic and a key attribute to the way he plays. Needs to work a bit harder defensively...

Anyone else disappointed by Rich so far?

Great call :thumbsu: People need to understand that it's going to take a while (possibly a year or 2) of solid tagging until players like Rich etc. find out their strength in winning a contested ball with a tagger and shaking him off. It's a bit rough to expect a kid whos been used to...

    Hamish Hartlett

Will be interesting to see how the kid plays tomorrow against W.A. along with Rich who by all reports got quite heavily tagged last week. Not much of the ball last week but having a read of Jason McCartneys "Eye Catchers" article on the AFL website, seems to be highly regarded still. Was...

Top 10 Football Schools in the Country!

St. Michaels from South Australia have not been an exceptionally dominant side in the SA comp over the past decade but there side this year is fantastic. They have been the only team in 120 odd games to beat Sacred Heart College which they did earlier this season. They had 4 SA reps this year...

    2008 Draft

I agree. Things are shaping up very nicely. Throw in the likes of Rich (WA), Swift (WA), Yarran (WA) and Hartlett (SA) and this has all the attributes of being another "superdraft".

    Masten v. Grimes v. Ebert

Ive seen Grimes play about 5-6 games and he's a great player but I don't think he's got the versatility in his game to play a key position like Ebert. I'll admit that I saw the first half of the WA vs Vic Metro game on Saturday and that was the first time I'd seen Masten play so I may be jumping...
